There are a lot of frustrating things about being a classroom teacher, but pencils are at the top. This sign is silly but will remind students to come prepared.

As a perpetually exhausted middle school math teacher, I bought this sign hoping to cut down on the daily pencil scavenger hunts. Spoiler alert: the sign is hilarious, but the students still act like locating a pencil requires NASA-level tech. Every time I point to it, I feel both joy and despair. The metal quality is great, but unfortunately, it doesn’t come with a built-in pencil dispenser or common sense. Would buy again just for the laughs and the slight emotional support.
