I am still somewhat uncertain if I like it or not. The drivers that came with mine claimed my PC was too slow and refused to install. My PC is an Alienware top of the line model that has the latest high speed everything in it. But I found updated drivers off the internet and tried those and then it was OK. So I am now in the process of determining if I like it or not.

This 3d scanner takes any object or person scanned and creates a general lump in the approximate shape of whatever was scanned. You will only be able to scan after you go to the company website and download software. The sd card does not work. Then You must make multiple attempts to scan while it crashes, loses tracking, and randomly tells you that you don't have a scanner. You may 3d print the detail free lump on a 3d printer in all its lumpy glory with relative ease. So if you need playdough renderings of real objects this will be perfect.

I just got it today, opened it up and was excited to start having fun. I'm running Windows 10, i5. So I went ahead and bought it. Opened it up, and it doesn't work. So I spend a few hours going through everything. YOU HAVE TO HAVE A 4 GENERATION i5 OR NEWER. WHICH THEY DON'T LIST IN ANY OF THE FEATURE GUIDELINES. THEY JUST SAY EASY USER FRIENDLY SOFTWARE. Not only is it a bad product, but it's obvious that the people that own the company are morally broken if they think lying to get sales is any way to do business. I have a ton of followers on social media and I'm going to make sure to WARN everyone to not support this product or company in any way. I COMPLETELY UNDERSTAND WHY THIS COMPANY HAS SO MANY TERRIBLE REVIEWS.

No es posible realizar un escaneo completo de una persona sin que el software falle y genere modelos deformes. No lo recomiendo.

For $200 this is an amazing tool. It's got a resolution of about 1-2mm which means all your scans will be lumpy. Do NOT buy this is you don't understand 3D scanning and don't have your own modeling software (I use Lightwave 3D Modeler).I got this to scan car parts so I can model fixtures and fittings. All I needed was the rough contours to base my model on. For that it's perfect. Out of interest I scanned the grandkids and printed them with no post processing (image attached). It's pretty close in quality to a $100k scanner circa 2000.If all you need to do is capture contours to use the data for reference. This is a superb tool. If you're expecting to scan anything smaller than a head and need more than 2mm resolution you're going to need to spend a lot more money.

Why, why, why didn't I pay attention to the other reviews. I downloaded the XYZPrinting software that did a diagnosis and my computer, and it came back saying that my computer would run the scanner very well. I watched Youtube videos and read reviews, and after watching a couple of people have success, I thought I would go ahead and try. I should have known better with XYZ, especially since it is taking an insane effort just to get them to reply to my emails about a failed chip in a filament spool.I got the printer today and installed the software EXACTLY as stated. I followed the instructions to the T, and updated the software. I ran it, and this is what I found:* If there is ANY black color on the item you're seeing, the scanner will not see it, at all. It just shows it as an empty area. Here's a fun little thing for you to do right now....see how many things are around that don't have black on them!?!* The camera is insanely sensitive to losing its tracking and failing. I did not get a single successful scan. I tried, tried, and tried. I tried my head, and it wouldn't see my beard / hair. I tried putting a small toy elephant on a turntable, it would only create a blob. I tried a red ball with dimples in it, it wouldn't see the ball.* Multiple times as I tried to scan, when I changed mode it would give me the message of "Devince not found." I would restart the app, and it would work again.* I tried scanning a multi-color drone, and it would see everything but black and white.* I tried scanning a rubber ducky, and it wouldn't see it. A bright yellow duck against a dark gray background, and it couldn't see the duck. It was too close, then instantly too far, then too close, then too far, etc, etc....* The last time I tried to scan, it again reported the "Device not found" with a list of things to try. I followed all of the list, verified drivers, verified installed apps, and rebooted. I uninstalled EVERYTHING (drivers, SDK, controller, application), rebooted my computer, and installed EVERYTHING again. I started the app, and updated the app again, and then started it again. The app starts, and gives me the same message of "Device not found." I went through the entire process again, and it still shows "Device not detected."I have now requested a return with Amazon.I am very technologically inclined. I have installed and setup my smart home, router, security system, program Arduino, design 3D models, and print 3D models. I am absolutely not inexperienced when it comes to computers, tech, networking, and software. I really believed that I would be able to get this thing to work. I was sadly wrong. Please, listen to the reviews of others here. This thing may work, but the greater chance is that you will be disappointed. Even when the camera does work, the results are extremely disappointing. Based on my other experiences with XYZ, I am honestly not too terribly surprised. I was tempted for a split second to reach out to XYZ for tips, but then I remembered that I have been trying to talk to them for three weeks now about a bad chip in a spool of filament. I'm not going to risk trying to communicate with them for a month and have the return window on this thing close.

So far it's just a learning curve to do a proper scan. One note make sure your computer/laptop has a decent video card/chip set. Doesn't play nice with my Intel HD

The software that comes with this scanner is very poor. Scanner is not working well on my new Dell Laptop that I just purchased for this purpose.
