I have an old Husky 22gallon upright compressor in my home shop. It's super loud and makes me jump every time it kicks on. I was researching putting a muffler on it when I came across this muffler. It screwed right into the exhaust port of my compressor. The difference in the sound level is immediately noticeable. I don't have a decibel meter, so I can't tell you just how much it muffles. This muffler is made for a smaller compressor, so it doesn't completely quiet my old compressor, but it puts a good dent in the noise, and that's really what I was after. I don't want to suffocate my machine, so I think this will do the job just fine. Air still seems to flow through it just fine and so far, my compressor isn't overheating while using it. So, I'm giving this compressor muffler two thumbs up!
