The controllers don't hold their charge so they need to keep them plugged in :(

Good controller, good feel. I like the controller compared to the other brands I have . This is the second xbox 360 controller I have and both started to drift mostly to the right within a short time of usage. It is very noticeable when playing war games and you are scoping and aiming. It is mainly the left stick only. Both controllers are the same, one is a couple weeks old and the other is about six months. There are complaints all over the internet about this problem and so far there is no fix for it. People have tried different things with rubber bands. I can't believe with all the technology out there and so many complaints that there is no fix. I have ordered AAA-Shocks (Analogstick Aim Assistance Shock Absorbers and from the looks of them, I think I am 99% sure this will take care of that problem because they fit around the stick to increase the resistance and I am hopeing that they will bring the stick back to a neutral position. I will report on the AAA's if they indeed work.

Microsoft has always made decent hardware, but they've always made some darn good controllers. For those of us with bigger hands, wider grips, this controller feels more at home than other competitor variants. The device works as intended, but there are some cons that have to do with accessories. But first the pros.Pros:Comes with 2x batter compartments. One with rechargeables built in and one that you can use your own batteries in.Comes with charging cord.Is easy to handle with larger hands.Buttons * joy sticks / d-pad all feel and hold up solidly even after vigorous use.Huge list of compatible games that require little or no tweaking.EVERLASTING battery life.Cons:DOES NOT INCLUDE WIRELESS DONGLE. BAD MICROSOFT, BAD.If you buy a dongle you must install it. Plug and play does not always work. If by chance that dongle was purchased from a 3rd party to save money, you have to play around with the driver files under the device manager before it will work.

Well, after my original controller that came with my Xbox 360 started to wear away, I found myself in need of a new one. Not only that, but I was also tired of having to buy batteries over and over again so I decided to get this one. The D-Pad is pretty cool, but hasn't really changed much for me, but the controller handles just fine anyway, and I've had the charge kit for a few months now and it also works just fine, it seems like I haven't used batteries in forever. The only problem with the charge kit I have is that when you want to play AND charge at the same time if you have a mic plugged into your controller you'll hear some "buzzing" in your headset and others will hear it when you talk, but it's not really that annoying and not all that loud so I can deal with it. Great buy if you need a new controller or are looking for an alternative instead of buying batteries.

A friend of mine gave me one of his X-box 360s but kept the controler that originally came with it. So, I was looking for a replacement, one that came with the charging cable. In looking around I came across this croller and liked the idea of a d-pad that could be swapped between a 4-point configuration and a star configuration. I figured I would have to disasemble the crontroler and decide between the two options. This proved not to be true. The D-pad switches between the 4-point configuration and the star pattern with a simple twist. No disasembly required. I'm not yet sure how sturdy this design is but it seems sturdy enough at the moment.

Great controller. A few more features and the x-box surface win 8 phone combo will dominate. I bought an i phone 4 and yes I like it. Who says that Apple doesn't crash. Their early November OS upgrade was a night mare. Lost calendar info, was worried that I had lost about 200 pics; Apple help desk was amazingly fast to call me, but we got to a point where their teck warned me that this last thing he could have me try may not result in my pictures being recovered. I got lucky and they were restored. My calendar and 62000 archived songs on iTunes however were corrupted. I have the songs in Microsoft files but all the ratings playlists ect. are gone. Windows 8 phone and Surface here I come. Although Microsoft is getting in on the Monetizing game and getting more big brotherish they are nowhere close to the control freaks at apple. Have you ever tried to manage five devises three of which are your children's on one account so they can share their purchases. I realize that copyright protection is important to the music industry but it sure makes it hard on the parent to manage their rules, policies and crap. I'm starting to get why the geeks like the simplicity of OS's like lennox. Open sourced, rarely crashes and not a favorite for hack attacks.

I waited a while to buy one to use on my PC and wow... Amazon you could help and suggest that you need the wireless receiver in LARGE TEXT because I was caught totally unaware and I do medium amounts of research on all products I purchase but a friend had recommended this to me as he says its an awesome way to play some games on PC. Totally deceiving that this will work without the Xbox wireless receiver. Then come to find out the wireless receiver can't be bought alone anymore. Sure you can get one with a controller. But see I just bought this controller here so all I need is the receiver. OK, well i guess that's still OK because there are 2nd party receivers but oops the comments say on them that they are weak on responsiveness to faulty - and all including the ms branded one can cause problems with power consumption. Is it really that hard to just get a *!@ &*$#@ controller for my PC?
