This little inexpensive drone flew something like 25 or 30 feet into the air and sent back a live stream of video showing me that there are relatively not a lot of leaves in the gutter, negating the need for a gutter cleaning any time soon. That alone makes it "worth it", but this is also very fun and enjoyable to use.I have never flown a drone before so I cannot comment in comparison to higher priced drones. It definitely feels difficult to control, but that may be due to inexperience of the operator (me). The hardest part is realizing that the tilt controls are "backwards" from what you'd expect, BUT when the drone is turned around, those tilt controls are not "backwards" anymore. So, I guess always being aware of the orientation of the front of the drone...I have already gotten it stuck in the top of a bush, crashed it into walls, landed hard, gotten grass stuck in the blades, and it still works perfectly. It comes with extra propellor blades, although I haven't had to use those yet.It seems incredibly durable, despite looking somewhat small and flimsy. (Maybe I just got lucky though.)I recommend to anyone looking for a fun device that might even have some utility (checking gutters, inspecting roof, chimney, etc.)I will warn, it is difficult to get a steady image, possibly due to my own inability to control the device, but if you have a live stream of recorded video, you can then scroll to a specific frame of interest (see attached screenshot).I would not recommend this drone to children because of some of my own difficulties controlling it, but use your judgement there. And (although I definitely ignored the advise that I'm about to give) I would not fly this around trees, bushes, power lines, houses, or anything that it has potential to crash into. Take it slow and try to keep it steady first at least. As for the video, it looks alright - definitely better than I would have expected given the low price. And as for battery, I have just used it for about 10 minutes on-and-off and the battery still seems fine. I'm not sure how long it typically is supposed to last. There is a single charging cable for the battery that is inserted in the drone and the remote control. The video is streamed via wifi (the drone has a wifi transmitter that shows up as a hotspot that you need to manually connect to) and seems to have decent range, as I was able to go about 25-30 feet into the air without it losing signal, as far as I could tell.

About 4 or 5 years ago I bought a series of inexpensive quadcopters symas etc. They were fun but even the better ones eventually had issues w pairing, inconsistent battery life, engine burnout. I got this Simrex and assumed quads had improved over the years, but I was extremely surprised how much better the Simrex is over the previous ones I had. Really easy to use and reliable, it consistently works with no fuss. Turn on the drone and the control. A couple seconds and the are paired. Push a control button and it calibrates in another couple seconds. Push the start button on the controller, props begin to spin. Push the same button again to auto takeoff and it hovers a few inches up. Ready to land? Put it over a flat area and hit the auto land button. Obviously you can just use the controls and diy. Controls are easy to adjust to and the quad is very agile and responsive. And the quality and reliability just makes it so much more fun bec you're confident that it's going to fire up and run everytime. I can't say how it will last because I've only had it a couple days, but I've got more confidence in it than I had in any of the others I've had.
