a bassoon strap should hang over the side. This one barley reaches the side of the seat. It needs about 12-18 inches more length.

The cup in this strap is too tall. The material extends far enough up the boot joint to get in the way of the keywork (the a flat key). The cup is too deep and it isn't adjustable.
