This mesh is way too light gage to stop mice. It might be fine to wad up & stick in a hole, but I can use steel wool for that. I wanted mesh that can be placed across a gap. This will not work for that at all, it is as light as thread.

This is quite a bit smaller than I imagined but, for the price, it makes sense. And the dimensions listed on the site are accurate. I'll be wrapping it around the branches of my fruit tree when it's getting close to ripening. Last year the squirrels stole them all. I'll let you know how it goes this year.
