These 27" bike wheels are made in China. The wheel bearings needed to be repacked and the wheels trued. Things that the factory should have done. Nuts holding wheel bearing are over tightened and very difficult to loosen. Something else the factory didn't do correctly.. I expected new rims to be ready to go without any major adjustments..

If you’re going to sell some thing and say it is 26 inches make sure it is 26 inches not 25 1/4 or 25 1/2. Ridiculous.

Weinmann 519 alloy rim is not 1.5" wide as I thought. Just under 1" at 23.6 mm. Inside bead width is 19mm. Slightly narrower than the 21mm steel wheels I'm replacing but this is a common size for up to 2.125" MTB tires. I've learned that rims are sized and given a suggested tire width, 1.5"/1.95" for this 519 rim. These are machine assembled so may need adjustment. My set was true but needed cones loosened a bit as they turned rough. So you need to be a bike mechanic to set these right. Not plug and play. UPDATE 10/2022 still going strong hundreds of miles of Rail Trails later,. Replaced bolt on axles with Amazon seller CrMo QR axles right away and have been installed on a Pacific Alloy Trail Blazer.

great wheels they've been holding up for about 2 months now, and they're just as good as new

I purchased this “ package deal” of both front and rear wheels for my bike. The spokes had broken during winter storage and I was told that it wouldn’t be worth replacing them but this proved them wrong. I easily changed the front but had a bike shop replace the back geared wheel very reasonably. I now have a bike to ride again!!

The rear wheel held up for four months until the axle snapped while carrying groceries home. fortunately for me I had a spare axle from my old wheels set. I would suggest that anyone carrying heavy items with their rear pannier on a steel frame bike spend more money on a stronger wheel set

These are the best wheels on the market especially for a low end bike, like any Walmart bike like Roadmaster, Walmart Schwinn’s Huffy’s, Next etc. If you want to spend this kind of money or had your Walmart bike for a while. Anyways, so originally the threads on my old hub were completely gone, the hub was kind of cheap quality anyways. So rather than fix it, which would’ve been extremely expensive. It was ether A.) buy a new hub and Re spoke the wheel Or B.) buy a new wheel. I went with B and bought a new back wheel. Ok great and that worked accept the hub on the rear wheel didn’t match my front wheel. Which may not matter to some people but for me I like when things match. So I was at first regretting the purchase of the rear wheel and wished at the time I had just bought a new wheel set to begin with. So for my birthday at the time I wrote this review I did. Even though nothing was wrong with my front wheel. To me it’s not a big deal. I’ll sell my old wheel. I love my two new matching wheels with matching Weinman alloy rims, wheelmaster alloy freewheel threaded hubs and DT swiss spokes. There awesome, and sturdy and strong. I’m so happy with my Purchase, and I do plan on keeping these wheels trued. I highly recommended these wheels!

I put these on my Huffy Rallye 46422n bike after I bent the front steel rim. I have put about 60 miles on these wheels since I got 'em. and they run smooth and quiet, and look great. A nice improvement over the stock wheels.
