I needed a replacement doormat for the front door inside my apartment. The one I was using when I saw this door mat available for request is pretty thick, & was once a great doormat. Over time, the bottom portion of that old mat, which previously prevented it from bunching up, had worn away enough that it would often get caught under the door & bunch up. This often made the door harder to open & close if it wasn't perfectly flat. I would try to make sure it was flat every time after I opened & closed the door, but I guess I didn't do that well enough, because it would still get caught more & more. Of course, this usually happened when I was in a hurry, & led to lots of frustration & many of my bad moods. I know I should have replaced it long ago, but I just hadn't gotten around to it yet.This indoor welcome doormat works well for its stated purpose, in my opinion. The measurements listed are accurate, & it seems to be the perfect size for my front door. They are available with many different message options, so there seems to be something for almost everyone. The top part, which has the lettering, is different from the bottom/underneath portion, which is made from nonslip rubber. The lettering & images don't seem like they will peel off, but are instead part of the rug itself. I wish I could explain this better, but I'm not sure what to compare it to, or how to do so. The material it is made from is listed as polyurethane, but that material has so many uses, it was virtually impossible for me to find something comparable in a reasonable amount of time. Regardless of the material or the lettering, the point I am trying to make is that it doesn't seem cheap like I expected when looking at listing & pictures. My old doormat had a wool-like texture & was made of cloth, so it was completely different. That type, & the hard, scruffy mats that felt like they were made from the bristles of an old fashioned broom are the only doormats I've ever used. They seemed to work fine, so I just stuck with them over the years.This mat seems to absorb water & dry quickly, just as the listing claims. I poured some water on it to see, & it doesn't go all the way through, so the carpet below was still dry. My living room is carpeted, & it seems to stay in place, & is thin enough so my door glides over it without getting caught without a problem. When we wipe our feet, it has stayed in place. Sometimes, I can see the dirt that comes off, so it's definitely working as intended, so far. It's very easy to clean. I just take it over to the trashcan & angle it so everything falls straight into the bag. I've tried shaking the mat out, too, but nothing extra seemed to come off when doing that. The mat retains its shape when moving it, so it's easy not to spill whatever it's carrying all over the floor before I get it to the trashcan. I can rinse it off in the shower or clean it with water, if I need to (I haven't, but did so just to test it), which is fantastic. I don't see specifics on whether it's machine washable, but if i ask this question in the "questions & reviews" section, it says "Yes, based on the product information, the doormat is machine washable. The product description states it is made of polyurethane and can be washed quickly without bleach."I really like everything about this doormat, & I honestly didn't expect to. I just hoped for the best, but expected less, if I'm honest. The retail price is $20.99, but there are coupons available that make it even less expensive. I would definitely pay retail & be happy with the purchase. This can change if it degrades especially fast, or doesn't last long for whatever reason, but I will update my review if that happens. For now, I will rate it 5 stars, because it exceeds every expectation I had for it, & perfectly fulfills my need for an indoor doormat.

I was looking for a decent mat for my wooden floor near my front door. I came across this and wanted something that wasn't just plain and had some serious grip to it so it wouldn't slide around. This is exactly what I was looking for! This is a pretty thin mat, but it surprisingly keeps grass, dirt and moisture off the wooden floors upon first entry which is much better then having nothing. If anything I do wish it was a bit bigger, but works great for my needs of keeping my wood floors cleaner.
