Works pretty good for the price however way to large to lug around and keep opening it up every time you need to check your spotStick with slimmer more expensive unit, worth the extra money

Detector came with a wrist lanyard & cap, handle attachment hardware and mesh storage bag. Item is not really a pin pointer but a handheld detecting device. The tip can be used as a pin pointer with some practice. I did a quick depth check with some targets. Range depth for coins was 2-6 inches depending on the size of the coin. Somewhat less if coin was standing up on its edge. Gold & silver rings was 4–6-inch depth range. Larger items like a small tin were 8-10 depth. The larger the item the deeper it will detect. Test was done above ground so depth my change going through ground. I did not check the water proofing, but it looked to have a good sealing washer for the 9V battery well. A good option when a full-size detector can't be used. I am very pleased with the item and think it will work for my above & below water needs.Cons:No discriminate settings so you will find old pull tabs & bottle caps.

When out under water it notifies you the whole time not matter what settings it's on and then after the first use in water it got water where the coil goes and goes off all the time outside of water too. Only went in a river with no even deep or fast water.

These are awesome! Great size and I love that you can change the angle. I used plumbers tape to help water seal, and silicone tape on the outside for extra sealing and to decorate them since I bought multiple. Easy to use and fold to an easy size for packing along with masks and such. We have not added a pole to any yet, but nice to know that we can.

Bought this for my 7 year old son to go detecting at the beach. Despite following instructions precisely it broke within two hours. Cheap product, do not purchase!!!

It has high sensitivity, so if there are metal objects around it during the test, it will give you an illusion, but this is not a mistake, so please use it outdoors.I recommend it, it's an upgraded version of pointers and can be used in a variety of environments. The coil is more sensitive than a pointers and has a longer detection range, so it is more like a D-type underground detector.Comes with complete accessories, including shaft adapter, which is very effective and reduces knee damage from squatting, The diving test was successful, great!

I had double-check before going into water with it, and it was signalling on everything, at the water somehow water got inside and it stopped working completely. Waste of money.
