and when it doesn't switching on and off the camera works so far. Whats really disappointing is I just got it. If I were on paid shoots I would be furious cuz everything just shuts down.

I recently replaced my Nikon EN-EL18 battery with the Wasabi Power Battery, and it’s been a great choice! As an OEM replacement, it meets all my expectations. The battery allows me to achieve the full 9 fps shutter speed on my D850, which is fantastic for capturing fast action shots. It fits perfectly and provides reliable performance, just like the original battery. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a dependable and high-performing battery for their Nikon camera!

I'm trying, but can't find anything to complain about on these. My experience with Wasabi over the years has been mixed, to say the least, but Nikon's prices on their EN-EL18 are eye-watering -- I just had to try.Using these with MD-12 packs to power D800/D800e/D810 and everything fits, everything works. They charge normally and capacity is, so far, as expected, impressive. I can't speak to longevity yet (after a few charge cycles) but I'll be ahead of the game if they last half as long as the OEM version. Also, with the D800/D800e and the D810 these packs communicate with the bodies without issue, including the calibration and battery age indicators. Not really planning on owning a D850 but borrow one occasionally, so will update if I notice an issue there.

I have yet to try the new Nikon EN-EL18c batteries, but I can say this does work as good if not longer than the Nikon EN-EL18 and EN-EL18(a)(b)'s. If you're purchasing this for the D850 or D500 listen very carefully, you can get away with saving money on these batteries and the Wasabi charger, but don't buy third party battery grips or BL-5 battery door chambers. You need to buy the Nikon battery grip as the third parties are dangerous and can short your camera out, destroy your camera if they break wrong and void your warranty too. It's never worth it to cheap out on the grip or the $26 battery door chamber either, as the third party BL-5's are cheaply and poorly made with no or lacking weather sealing. I made the mistake of buying both in the past and will never again so please listen to me and spend the extra money. I know the Nikon grip's are expensive but they are worth every penny for their build quality, reliability, warranty, weather sealing and fit and finish. Same with the Nikon BL-5 battery door chamber it's made extremely well, fits great, locks well and is properly weather sealed. Now having said that there is absolutely NO reason not to buy or trust Wasabi EN-EL18 batteries or the MH-26 charger as both great and have for over two years. I already owned a Nikon MH-26a from my D4s and although it feels heavier and better made than the Wasabi, the Wasabi version works just as well except for one thing, calibration of older batteries does not work properly and I don't trust it. Nikon is crazy for charging over $300 for their charger and if I had not already had one I would never have bought one, I only bought a Wasabi so I would have two chargers for my 4 batteries! I used to shell out $160 for Nikon batteries and the old me would have never trusted a third party charger or battery, but a close friend sweared by Wasabi and I trusted him so I gave them a try two years ago and have never looked back. Just don't make the mistake of trying to save too much money and buy the Nikon grip and battery door!

I usually don't leave a review within a couple weeks of purchase. However, I thought this review would help someone. This battery has worked perfect in my Nikon D850. It has enabled me to get 9fps. I also purchased the Wasabi charger for this battery. The only concern is that the initial and one subsequent charge, I can only get a 87% charge. The charger shows 100%, however inserting the battery into the Nikon D850 shows only 87%. I have to say that Blue Nook is incredible as a seller. You can buy from them with confidence! They read my review and was concerned so they immediately sent another charger out to me. That's incredible service! As a Pro wildlife photog, I need all my gear working and at the ready. I have no worries with Blue Nook and their equipment.

Got this and it was already charged up about 70%. Put it in the charger to get it to 100%. When I put it in camera it read 99% but I didn't worry about it.Shot about 20 pictures and it went down to about 89%. Didn't worry about that either, since I figure it takes a couple cycles to get the right reading. I let it sit about 10 days then took it to a wedding. Shot 290 pictures or so. After that, it has been sitting in camera for 2 weeks. So over three weeks, over 300 pix, and right now the battery is reading 68%As most of you probably know...the battery reading will never be linear... taking another 300 pix doesn't mean it will go down another 32%.So it has been good so far. And obviously if it fails within the first 6 mo or year, I'll be back to update that. This battery doesn't *click* into the charger the same way the Nikon batteries do. It just sort of slides into place and has a bit of wiggle, but as the charging lights show it charges just fine.Update:After the 2nd time charging this battery I took 95 pictures and then left the battery in the camera for 2 weeks. No particular reason...just didn't use the D4 in those two weeks... Checked the battery and it was at 80%. Not bad for $105 off the Nikon price. And I don't think you can get "the D4 battery" anymore--only the newer higher capacity battery that is compatible but came with the D4S.
