This is 100% natural wool. High quality and ready to use. The color is off white / cream. It has a variety of uses including needle and wet felting. It is so natural that it smells like sheep. You can also use it for stuffing / filling or as a unique background in pictures.

With butyl sound damping installed to inner surfaces, denim insualtion glued to the walls over the damping material and this as wool used as fill, It is the best scenario to almost eliminate resonance inside a speaker enclosure.

I started needle felting 7 months ago and since this has been my favorite go to for core wool! The quality for the price is impeccable and I've already went through 4 bags! I highly recommend!

Got this to felt a few palm-sized plushies of characters for fun as a complete beginner who has only felted once before. It's a good core wool in my opinion! Less soft and detail-able than the dyed samples that I got separately and holds together well, packing in firmly when needed. Every now and then I find a small piece of hay among the fibers, but I assume that's normal and to be expected. Smells very woolly, my cat was transfixed with it the first couple days out of the box.

You can't beat this wool for the price. As others mentioned, there is a slight smell but it's wool! It comes from sheep and that's what it smells like. I didn't need to start my project for a few days so I left it out to air out. That helped a lot. And you cannot smell it in the finished project. I make Waldorf type dolls and there is no smell when finished. I've only used it for stuffing dolls so that's all I can comment on. But I am truly thrilled to have found this supplier. I can feel comfortable about continuing to gift my dolls knowing that they are stuffed with 100% wool, not a synthetic filling. The wool was combed beautifully: very light and fluffy. I will be able to get quite a few dolls (16") from the 1 pound. I will definitely be re-ordering.

Core wool is fine for stuffed animals, etc. I use it for the center of my needle felted sculptures. It felts very easily, and takes dye well in a muted matte kind of finish.I run mine through the drum carder first to fluff it up and add fibers going more than one direction. This yields a more malleable fiber with all staple lengths ready to lock together in any shape. (You can approximate hand carding with two flat slicker style dog brushes.)Don't use this for anything close to the skin. The best uses are wet or needle felting, spinning into rough yarn, or for rugs and totes. Look for low micron merino lambswool for silky softness. The price for core wool should be a lot lower per pound than luxury fibers.

I'm happy with this carded wool. I'm using it to build the core body parts of an 18 inch doll I have created as OOAK. And I plan to use it for other needle felt projects I plan to sell. This wool works up great and I highly recommend it to everyone who wants to save money while enjoying your hobby of needle felting. And the company was very fast in delivery. Update: this wool is great for most projects that do not require delicate detail. The doll I am still working on has full musculature and this wool is too firm for the project. The doll requires MC-1 wool which is softer/not so heavy and easier to sculpt. I did, however, finish a rooster flower pot that turned out great with this wool. It's a good wool and I will continue to use it for the core parts on projects that will not require finer detail.
