My 5-year old had been begging me to get her one of those kid's sewing machines at W*mart. Obviously she's too young for that! When I saw this available, I thought the similarity of shape and function to Mommy's sewing machine would be appealing. HOWDY, was I correct. I gave it to her and told her it's a "flower sewing machine"! and she lost her ever-loving mind. She happily and quietly made flowers, took them apart, re-made them, carried them around, decorated, etc for about three hours. Absolutely a superb product, really good gift idea for littler girls (I'd say 7 and under, my 7-year old also likes it). I don't think the value is super great, but considering the price of toys it's not as bad as some things I've seen. The plastic is the good quality matte kind, NOT the cheap shiny brittle kind. The flower petals come in a dazzling array of colors and textures, and you COULD make cutting out more flowers part of the activity, since I haven't been able to find "refills". Or disassemble fake silk flowers from the $tree and put those together.It's a good toy!

I had high hopes for this kit, and was slightly disappointed. The concept is simple and fun, but the supplies included run out quickly. The machine itself is also a bit fussy and takes som3 practice - this is something kids will need help with. Super cool idea, unique, but falls a bit short.

Really fun craft that my 3 year old daughter loved, very simple for her to pick up and start making flowers.This kit came with everything mentioned needed to make the flowers, and plenty of them. With a lot of color options and some very interesting fabric finishes. The petals themselves are cutouts made of either very thin plastic material, or mesh. Some of our petals came folded but it was easy enough to straighten them out.Also included along with the flower components and the embossing machine is a "vase", which in this kit is essentially a plastic cup, and not a particular highlight. Some tape (advise using your own double sided tape, this felt a little thrown in), and two very cute green flower stands. The embossing machine felt decently sturdy although I have concerns that it may not tolerate a lot of force or overuse.My daughter did need a little assistance making sure that the pieces all held together when pressing them with the machine. As other reviewers have mentioned, definitely try to keep to four or less "petals" to a flower or you may have difficulty pushing them all together, and getting the finished flower to stay - that and it limits the number of flowers you can make (although refills are available or can be made pretty easily). Another thing we found was we needed to ensure the petals were properly centered on the machine otherwise the end result could come out looking a little wonky. We ended up making several flowers and saving the rest for a rainy day, but had time allowed we could easily have made the whole kit!At the time of reviewing the price point felt like good value. Definitely recommend.

I got this for my 8 year old and she loves it! It got delivered super fast and seems to be good quality for the price! It has a variety of colors and shapes to choose from for the flowers and there are plenty of stems to put them on. You have the option to either put them in a vase, put them in "grass" or wrap them in a bouquet. I think it's very cute and definitely a hands on activity that little kids will enjoy!Highly recommend :)

These are super fun and unlimited creativity options. The colors are great you can make lots of pretty combinations. Well worth the price.

My niece is obsessed with this!!! She made so many flower the first day she got it. She loved the different colors and textures of the flower parts and thoroughly enjoyed selecting and building each flower.
