I was excited at first as I thought this rooster collar was working. The collar was placed exactly according to directions. It was easy to slide on over the rooster's head and cinch closed with the Velco. It didn't stop him from crowing, so the collar was tightened a little bit more than a pinky finger space. After giving it 2 weeks to try it, he must have gotten used to it because he was back to crowing. He was crowing so loud and often that I had to rehome him before we were cited for having a rooster in our municipality. I had read the reviews before purchasing, but felt I had to at least give our rooster a chance with this before getting rid of him. Disappointed the collar didn't work and that we didn't get to keep him. He was awesome!

I was hesitant because so many reviews said it didnt work. But it wasnt alot of money so I tried it. We're only on day 4 but so far so good. My rooster hates it though, but he eventually acts normal again after 4 or so hours. We take it off at night. I've read some people leave it on and just loosen it and I've read some people put it on at night as opposed to day. Do what's right for your situation.

Knocking off 1 star for the "No crow" term in the description. It should be written as "crow reduction," but it IS effective!First off, you're putting a tight collar on a rooster to limit its ability to crow, not entirely eliminate it. If you entirely eliminate it, that is called strangulation, and strangulation is bad, m'kay?Like the instructions say, put it on somewhat loosely the first day (but tight enough that it will stay on). Your cock will appropriately flip his lid. After his initial tantrum, he will get used to it after a couple of days. After that, grab your cock again, and tighten the collar just a tiny bit and observe if he's eating and drinking well. Your cock needs to be able to pass fluids! Repeat this process gradually over about a week or so. You will notice a change in tone, volume, and frequency of crowing. Continue until the crowing volume and frequency is tolerable. If he dies, you have choked your cock. Do not do this. Your cock should be restricted, but not totally repressed.

Works like magic but it needs slow adjustment for safety and efficacy. After watching a YT video, I put it high on our rooster's neck and tight enough that I could just barely squeeze my finger underneath it. Our rooster seemed annoyed with it. His crow was a little reduced in volume. The next day I tightened by a couple of millimeters and his crow reduced in volume by about half. The third day, I repeated the tightening procedure. At this point, it's fairly tight, I can't really put a finger underneath. He can still eat and drink and breath. He's had it on this way for two days and hasn't crowed. We'll

Anyone that says this doesn’t work must not be putting it on right and it isn’t adjusted to the comfort of the rooster but also where it does what it does. I had fears too. My daughter put it on our very beautiful rooster and let me tell you this. It has been nice. The noise level is nothing compared to what it was at all. It’s adjustable so you can figure out where you need it to be. The quality is amazing. The price for it was good since we have never used one before and seen how many stars it has and bad reviews but also had good ones. Our rooster is not acting different and so far has left it alone. Definitely a one size fits all and a good trial one. I don’t think we will change and buy the more expensive one that is not adjustable. Definitely would recommend to others to give it a shot. Start off with not making it tight and adjust a little each time to find the right size for your rooster.

It was easy to put on, and fit good. It's good quality and durable, but doesn't do it's job. It made my rooster try harder to crow so when I took it off he crowed louder. This one not worth the buy.

This did not stop my rooster from crowing, as I was afraid of choking it, but I did find other uses for this product, since it like a Velcro fastener, so it was not a complete waste of money.
