This glue extrusion tool is designed for tubes which contain various types of adhesive or sealants. It’s well made with heavy duty steel that is painted to prevent rust. It utilizes spring loaded, wedge shaped jaws that squeeze the sealant evenly towards the tube opening when you apply pressure to the handle. The tool also prevents wasting the contents of the tube as it pushes the sealant from one end to the other. This is a great idea, no more rolling up tubes and wasting material. The one main drawback I found is that it does not grip the tube firmly, and the tube tends to shift when pressure is applied. I constantly had to keep repositioning the tube. I think it would make the tool function better if there were a nonslip material applied on the inside of the jaws. Otherwise I really like this tool and I will use it every time I need to apply sealant in a tube.

You have to be a little careful, the 'squeeze plate' is easy to flip if you aren't careful, but it is easy to put back. Slip in your tube and squeeze (not too hard so you don't get too much out or split the tube). You can get significantly more product out of your tube using this, quickly paying for the tool in saved material.
