I have a Master Lock tongue lock that seems to open when it feels like it and it doesn't feel like it very often. The ForgedX lock is better in every way. The lock is essentially 2 massive steel parts that fit together with the lock inserted at the end. The construction is welded steel that is then painted, with a stainless lock mechanism that uses a unique curved key. It fits perfectly in a 2 5/16" coupler and takes seconds to install. It covers the entire hitch coupler but still allows you to lock the ball lock mechanism if you want (although you certainly wouldn't need) another layer of protection. I can't find any real fault with this lock; yes, it's expensive but it is great peace of mind if you park your trailer somewhere that isn't monitored. This lock screams "go steal something else!!"

As someone who owns a fleet of trailers, I’ve tried many different trailer locks over the years, but none compare to this heavy-duty lock. The quality is outstanding, and every aspect, from the welds to the overall build, is simply perfect. I have full confidence that my trailers are secure with this lock in place. If you’re looking for a reliable, top-notch trailer lock, I highly recommend this one. It’s hands down the best lock I’ve ever purchased!

Wow is this thing made well. Built like a tank. It must weigh almost 10 lbs. I really doubt anyone is taking this thing off my hitch EVER no matter how hard they try or what tools they have! Very thick 1/4” rolled steel with a beautiful powder coat finish and a gorgeous blue anodized steel lock. The key assembly looks very pick resistant (nothing is pick proof-go watch that Lock Picking Lawyer guy on YouTube). This thing is just so well made I’m actually shocked and at a loss for better words.

These days, trailer security is a MUST. Especially if you are carrying your livelihood (things that make a living.)This particular hitch lock is not only well made, it has a striking resemblance to another one that sells for a much higher price. The welds look good, the powder coating is even and covers everything, the overall construction is sound, and the lock is SOLID.The only issue I have with this type of lock is trying to get the chains secured inside of it. There are no instructions included with the lock, and what is available in the listing is not very informative.Either that or I was dropped when I was a soft head. This could be valid. There is not a lot of space to fit the chains (see picture) and I cannot get the lock over the hitch with them ran through it as the pictures on the listing suggest. So, if there is one thing to note, that would be it.Otherwise, this is GREAT.Recommend, with the understanding that you may be smarter than me regarding the chains!
