Grip is too much, at least out of the box. You can move the runner band to cover the top of the bottle instead then release it a bit easier when needed. No bottle launching here. I don’t fully understand the “forward release design,” because it’s just like other cages… yank straight out. Bottles don’t seem to hold against the base tab, they’re just gripped in there. I’d give it a “meh” out of 10. My bottle wont launch, but hopefully I won’t launch myself off my bike tugging at the bottle mid-race.
