Why would you buy a score where the German is wrong? Why would you buy a score where the English translation competes with the German verse? NO, find another score.

Well, the notes are right. That's swell. But, the English translation is on top, which is almost unforgivable. Also, the measure #s start lined-up with other editions...then split off by 2 measures about halfway through. They've switched some of the German vowels around, which is not at all helpful unless you've performed this before so you know how the words should be pronounced. Also, THE ENGLISH TRANSLATION IS ON TOP! What the F'n heck? A) Who does this in English? and 2) Why do you put the English on TOP??!?!?!?!?!?

This is an excellent, clear score of the last movement of Beethoven's Choral Symphony. And light to handle! Highly recommended.

The score starts at the beginning of the choral section of the symphony (bar 208, with the baritone solo starting at bar 216); I would have expected it to start at the beginning of the final movement, so you'll need to be alert for the conductor's cue in performance. It has Novello's usual irritating arrangement of English words above the German words, the latter being in smaller italic type, which will make performances in the original language more difficult than they need be.
