I bought this product for my Grandson. It works very well. He loves it. It has decent sound and picture and even plays CD's. Comes with remote. He loves the swivel screen. Nice product. Decent value.

Tengo una duda, al cargar el aparato en la energia electrica no se apaga la luz roja que indica la carga, aun cuando pasaron mas de 5hrs, es esto correcto?

I will be going back to California in a few months and I wanted to bring along lots of music from my large collection. I also did not want to lug around a jam box and be restricted to a flash drive with poor menu readout. This lightweight device looked like it would fit the bill. I also planned on using a good pair of headphones that cost more than this device. One DVD holds 80 hours of hand selected music from my large collection. (I still buy CD's and rip them to MP3's). So after finally figuring out all of the buttons, the menu from the DVD is much better than the jam box. However, it only shows the first 20 characters for each title, which is a minor quibble. The speaker that comes with it absolutely sucks, but that good pair of headphones more than makes up for it. It comes with earbuds, which I never use. The lithium battery life lasts five hours before it needs charging again, but I have no idea if the headphones will drain the battery faster. For those that live in a very hot climate, it is only rated up to 95 degrees Fahrenheit. Forget about taking it to the beach! It kept going back to the last song played after turning it back on, but using the Setup menu can keep this from happening. I was also worried that it would not automatically advance to the next track each time, but it does this just fine. It has a USB port which works fine for music so long as the folders are properly named. If one wants to have the top folder as Genre, then the next folder as Artist, the albums in the third level would all be one folder each. It also has an SD card reader, which I have no use for. One can hook it up to a large TV screen, which I also have no use for. It has lots of features that I won't need, but for the price, it can't be beat. I can even bury it between clothing in my checked luggage to protect it and make it one less thing to carry onto the plane.

Simple, great battery life, does what it says on the tin. Postage to Ireland too expensive though.

Since I am the only blind or visually impaired Customer I see with a review on this product, I'm going to comment on accessibility before anything else. If you are looking for a player that has easy controls this is perfect. Other reviews say the volume and play stop buttons are on the same control, and this is true, but all you need to do is hold down the button is for volume and tap for play stop. I personally like the circular controls because there aren't too many buttons that get confusing for blind and visually impaired users. Everything is easily located with initial sided help. The player has good sound, and if you have enough vision to appreciate it A good screen. The players seem sturdy, and I haven't had any problems with loud disc noise as other people have posted on this review. The disc does grumble a little bit for lack of a better word one for spending up, but once it's playing steadily it's more of a feeling that the sound. I haven't figured out how to operate the USB an ST card reader slots yet, but I didn't purchase this player for those particular functions. I wanted a media player that was accessible enough to use for CDs and DVDs And this is perfect. I'm very satisfied with this player and I would buy another one and will if I ever need to.

We got this for a car trip and it worked exactly as advertised. The swivel screen made it easy to put in a headrest mount (purchased separately). This feature also covers the control buttons so they don't get accidentally pressed. Also, when it is folded and placed in a headrest mount, the IR receiver is conveniently placed to allow use of the remote from the front seat. We loved that it also plays video from SD cards. The only slight downside I noticed was trying to adjust certain things with the built-in buttons can be challenging but this is to be expected in any portable electronic device. It is easily overcome with the tiny but fully functional remote. The battery claims to last 4-5 hours. We have not tested this and it seems to do just fine playing over 2.5 hours with no issues. For anything more than 4-5 hours it does come with BOTH a 12V car adapter and an AC adapter (some cars have both so you have 2 power options included with this player).Overall this was a great product that we would feel comfortable buying for, or recommending to, friends and family. Great value and works as advertised.

I'm giving this five stars even though there's one hitch (unless I just can't figure it out). I have used a portable DVD player for many years and this is the BEST ONE I have EVER HAD. The reason: most of them, cheap and more expensive, from Amazon or super cheapos from Walmart, have had a big flaw: they work well with the remote but without it the dvd players are hard to work. This one seems a bit the opposite; you can use the remote but its so simple and well built that you don't need the remote (I can't figure out why you'd USE a remote on a tiny dvd player). Built in sound is quite good. It works better with the earphones but sound quality is really good. Picture quality is excellent. The controls on the machine itself worth without a hitch and are very easy to figure out. This also has a five our battery charge. The only hitch (and maybe I'm missing something) is that about half the DVD portable dvd players I've had over the years have a button or are set up so if you turn off your player in the middle of a movie when you turn it back it finds your place. This apparently does not (I keep looking) But since you can advance or backtrack a dvd at 32 times the original speed its simple to find your place. I REALLY recommend this one as the most solidly built one I've had. Also, the remote on this takes regular batteries. On the really cheap ones its a tiny battery that is hard to find and even then the remote maynot work and those machines are almost garbage without a remote. Why do I use a dvd player instead of my computer? To save some wear and tear and extend the life of my laptop. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
