The wires going to the coil Are backwards. Put the traced wire where the solid wire is and the solid wire for the traced wire is on the coils

My original Mercury switch box would work great for 20 minutes, then only one cylinder would fire and wold not run any faster than idle. Replaced it with this switch box and so far it’s working perfectly. Strong spark on both cylinders.

I sent this product to a friend in the Dominican Republic for use on his subsistence fishing vessel. It failed to work. Only fires one cylinder of the two cylinders on the motor.DESERVES NO STARS, BUT ZERO STAR REVIEWS ARE NOT POSSIBLE.

I have on older Mercury 2002 25hp outboard with an 855713-A2 in it. They apparently or no longer available. I had to shorten the screws. All the wires were the same color except for the ones that go to the coils. On the coils the A2 has a green and a green/yellow wire. This one has a green and a green/red wire. I first put the green/red where the green/yellow was but it would not start. You need to put the green/red where the green coil wire was and the green where the green/yellow was.

The technician tested this part after I brought the motor into the marina and found that the CDI box was defective as well as my original CDI. However a few days later he changed his opinion that the trigger component is faulty. So I'm rescinding the one star and the review until the repair is fully completed and the problem fully understood. Then i'll report. UPDATE so I put in the new electronic trigger with the CDI box in question and it performs excellently. I am happy.
