Known as the heart of the Swiss watch-making industry, this scenic and historical city thrives on highly-specialized precision manufacturing and is the home of the most prestigious luxury watches in the world. The city of Biel/Bienne lies at the foot of the first mountain range of the Jura Mountains. It is located on the language boundary and is bilingual throughout. Biel is the German name for the town and Bienne its French counterpart, but it is often referred to in both languages simultaneously. Meat fondue originated in France in the middle ages. During the grape harvest, pickers set up pots in the vineyards to cook their meals as it became convenient for them during the day. This ensured a leisurely lunch that could be enjoyed hot and fresh. In later years, meat fondue Beef Bourguignonne was created and became known as the original meat fondue recipe. Today this original recipe has evolved in many variations to include using chicken, seafood and much more. The Bienne 11 Piece Meat Fondue set in stainless combines the traditional design with a modern material. The set includes fondue burner, fondue pot, splatter guard, rechaud, 6 forks and recipe card.

This was used in a 70’s fondu party to celebrate 50 year hs reunion— we all wore 70’s outfits and played 70’s music!! It was memorable!!

J'ai commandé 2 ensemble de fondue Swissmar. Les articles étaient parfaits. L'achat s'est très bien déroulé et la livraison s'est faite le dimanche au lieu du samedi. I have been fonduing for 40 years. These are the first pots that do not keep the oil hot. Used them twice. Made sure the oil was really hot from the cooktop. Within 15 minutes with four forks in the pot the oil became not hot enough to cook in a reasonable amount of time. Chicken and beef should cook within a couple of minutes but with this pot it was 15 minutes for chicken. I am throwing them away. The sad part is I purchased three of them. Goodbye $150 bucks!

Every year we have fondue for Christmas eve dinner. This set is the best one we own, it works great, the splatter shields do what they are supposed to and the pot is the right distance from the sterno. Highly recommended

Its perfect. I had a 10 person fondue party. I bought two of these plus I had another thicker pot for cheese. the hammering makes it look awesome. However, this one had a rough edge around the top and caused the guard to not quite fit right, but with a little sanding it went back to the way it should have been.
