Keeping this as it works.High heat not quite as high as the blanket it replaced. Still warm, just not a really a great warm preheat. Does have control to set the timing for the blanket to be on, great safety feature.Not feeling the coils at all, unlike the other blankets I’ve recently tried. Too many have a thin blanket letting the coils be felt to distraction.Only complaint regarding the one, single corded requiring a single outlet for the blanket. Cord to outlet is a great length. The dual control’s cords are just a foot too short for the bed being a king. They just don’ reach our nightstands to lay flat on them. Had to add hooks for them to hang from.I really don’t like this feature/problem but the other assets outweighs the inconvenience.SUNBEAM should really redesign the length of the three cords, could be a deal breaker for some.Got the Cabernet color as was the best on sale price. A nice deep maroon red color.BUY AGAIN? Yes

Amazon has this blanket at 4 1/2 stars and I took that at face value when I ordered it. But now, after the fact, I read the reviews and see that there are a LOT of negative reviews. I should have looked more carefully before ordering it.We've had this blanket for about 2 weeks and so far it is still working. My disappointment is with the controllers. There is no light telling us if it is on or off. The only way to know is by pushing a button.....we can't just look at it from across the room.When we turn the blanket on, it is always at heat level 6, auto-off at 8 hours. It does not hold the last setting. If you turn it on in the middle of the night, we have to go ":::click:::click:::click:::" (loud clicks) to get the setting we want, bothering the other sleeper. Also, if, during the night, if we want to check what setting it is at, we can't just look at it, we have to push a button.Since these controllers are all solid state, I don't see why it can't have a nice little dim, backlit window, on all the time the blanket is on.If I had it to do over, I would not buy this blanket. But, if we can believe MANY of the other reviewers, it won't last long and I can get a good one next time, after I research more carefully.

I loved it last winter. I haven't used yet this year. Heats well. Not really happy that you can feel the wires, but I've been told that they all do now.

The blanket is very thin, and the wires easily felt, but we use it over a top sheet, so it helps. But the heat is very mild--if you are very cold, you need to use a relatively high setting. I like the preheat better than the regular heat settings, but it only lasts about 1 hour. Once the bed is warmed up, the lower settings are usually enough to keep me warm. Avoid folding or tucking because if the wires are bent or stretched, you could get the blinking light that indicates that the blanket isn't working. I'd like to find a new electric blanket that is actually a thicker blanket. Adding this--after 2 years, the control overheats, causing it to blink F1 and need to be unplugged and replugged, almost every day. It doesn't give much heat below setting 6, and it begins to overheat at setting 5, so it is time to get a new one--but NOT this one! Since it's under warranty, I had to contact the manufacturer. They NEED the order image as well as 2 photos: one of the whole blanket with controls laying on top, and one of the label. BUT they won't accept phone images--the photos must be through the email. Since my pc doesn't have a photo card slot, there's no way to send a photo email, so I'm out of luck getting my money back. Steer clear of this blanket--it's not worth the money or hassle. Look for the Caromio brand instead.

We replaced our last heating blanket after about 4 years of seasonal use. This is the same style blanket and we have had reliable and even heating service from this Sunbeam blanket. The controls are easy to use and illuminated for ease of use in a darkened room.This style of heating blanket is much preferable to the styles that have the reflective layers that tend to make crinkling sounds and smother you with prolonged use. The sunbeam blanket is just a soft and plush material that can get a little static electricity but is very comfortable to use between a sheet and a top bedspread.

i used it on my bed every night in the winter and spring until the weather warms up.I will pack it in my closet for the summer ,i wouil buy another one if that ones stops heating .im 65 years old and full of joint pain it helps my bones not to ache as bad .i would advise anyone to buy this beautiful electric blanket
