We do a lot of food work with our dog, so I'm always looking for high quality, nutritionally balanced training treats. These are some of the best I've used. Stewart's is a trusted brand, and I've used their beef liver treats for years. The beef liver treats are much harder, so they don't crumble as easily in a bag stuffed in your pocket. The downside is they're almost impossible to break apart by hand and they're huge. I usually cut them down with a knife. This freeze dried dog food is hard enough that it won't turn to dust in your training pouch, but they're still soft enough to break apart by hand. If they were marginally harder, they'd be perfect but they're still the best I've tried. Because they're nutritionally balanced, I don't have to worry about over-treating my dog. I'd definitely get these again!

My dog loves the Stewart Raw Naturals Freeze Dried Dog Food. I gave him a few nuggets as a treat and he ate them right away. Tomorrow I will see how he feels about it mixed with water, but he likes these just the way they are. My dog is a 15 year old PomChi and has become very finicky so it's a pleasure to see him go for food with gusto!Edit 7/15/24 My dog still loves this food. We are going to France for a month and I thought what a shame it was to not have this in France, then I thought it is so light, why not pack some? Hopefully it will not be confiscated at customs. I don't know what it is about this Stewart Freeze Dried, but I am glad we found it.

My dog really enjoys this pungent-smelling food. When I say it stinks, I'm not exaggerating! Although my dog loves it, I won't be repurchasing it because it's expensive and the smell is overwhelming. It has a unique and potent odor, reminiscent of a combination of chum, roadkill, and house paint. What could possibly be in this stuff? Even though there isn't much in the bag, I can't deny that it's not low-quality. Since running out of the food, my dog has been acting spoiled, indicating that she wants more of it. I suppose that says something about the quality of this food.

These “kibbles” are bigger than their freeze dried treats, but are very similar in that they have practically no smell (to me, but the dogs love it). My dogs are on the smaller side about 11lbs, and I use these as treats for them. They are pretty easy for them to chew and crunch up, but aren’t as powdery as the actual stewart treats so they are a bit less messy in that regard.

My dog isn't a big fan of these on her meals but will happily eat them as treats. They appear to be high quality but, as is often the case with freeze-dried food, the amount you get is a little hard to judge due to how airy they are. On the plus side, they do seem to satisfy.

We have been using this as a topper on our pups regular dry food. He is excited to gobble it down. The ingredients are impressive and pup seems to find it tasty.
