Why did you pick this product vs others?:I'm happy with everything about this product. At the end of the day it is just a piece of polished metal... but after stamping the keywords I can tell it is a bit better quality than another brand I have: it didn't "bend" as much around the letters. It remained flatter, with just the characters themselves making an impression.I ended up separating the two plates so I could store a copy in different places, and it is easy enough to do this. If you have 2 wallets that you intend to keep together, however, the plates will spin freely after stamping (because they retain their form nicely).These even came with a couple holographic stickers that I assume are meant to function as a seal -- so you can tell if someone accessed it or not. A nice touch.I won't try to convince anyone why a cold-wallet is mandatory, but if you are looking for one these are perfect.

I love seed phrase storage, I think they are really cool for some reason. I also have crypto, so I also have a legitimate need. In my search for the perfect storage device, I've acquired quite a few.This one is better than similar one's I've bought in this style and price class. The metal plates seem thicker and a little more robust. I can't bend it with my hands, which is more than I can say about some other ones. The plates stamp nicely, if you don't have a metal stamping set, just get one. It isn't fun to hand-etch with a stylist, you'll end up scratching it where you don't want to, and not scratch deep enough on the words. At the least, get a letter template to trace within if you plan on hand etching.It's one major flaw, is that, like most in this style, it would benefit from chicago screws to that are more flush to the surface and are more pocket friendly. The screw it came with is a dome nut (just one, even though it has 2 points to connect the plates, I suspect a missing screw). So it sticks up and gets caught on the most random things. It can also work it's way loose in your pocket if it's not tight enough since it's catching against literally every fold or object in your pocket. It's also just inconvenient enough that it can't be stacked or tucked easily into a wallet etc. I did end up replacing the screw with a less obtrusive solution.All in all, I do like it. The heft and thickness of the plates is really nice. I'm tempted to buy another set to beef the stack up to store other sensitive information on and keep in my safe. I'm giving it 4/5 because it is effective in what it does, has somewhat quality plates, but however, has that awful screw situation (that you can easily fix if it bothers you that much). If you'd rather spend your money on more crypto and not on some fancy seed phrase storage device, this gets it done. Just don't forget where you put it.

This is a nice and decently weighted seed phrase storage plate. The thickness and overall size make this easy to store or hide just about anywhere.This didn't come with any type of etching tool so that must be purchased separately.In conclusion, this is a good storage plate. I don't have any Crypto yet but when I do and I use this plate I'm getting a security bolt to replace the included hardware.

It would be nice if the kit came with another screw/cap nut/washer for the other hole in the plates. Also, the included washer for the screw/cap nut is plastic and it comes installed between the two plates. It would be nice if this washer was metal. The product as a whole is easy and straight forward to use but I fear in the event of a fire (since I live in a multi-story building) that the plates would slide open as the building collapses so having another screw/cap nut/washer would be nice.Pros:-Is actually made of steel judging by weight.-Product is as advertised.-The security seals are a nice touch.-Each plate fits in a normal wallet.-Best price I could find ($6.99 at the time of purchase).-Each plate is about as thick as a penny which feels plenty sturdy.-The fact that the holes for the screw/cap nut are centered (instead of being in opposing corners) means you can have whichever orientation of the plates you want.Cons:-Doesn't fit standard size padlock.-Only includes one screw/cap nut/washer set.-The laser etching is hard to read at some angles.-When you open the plates the metal plates scratch against each other which could probably be fixed with a metal washer. Otherwise the product functions normally.

These stainless steel seedphrase holders are well made and very functional for the price. They are made from sturdy stainless steel and have sufficient thickness to hold up well.Very simple to add your seed phrase words in the numbered spaces. You can either engrave the words using a cheap electric engraver, laser engraver, or diamond or tungsten pen style engraver.Simple design that is much cheaper than some of the other more complicated seed phrase storage devices.Has enough spaces to hold all your seeds phrases.

Good: Reasonably priced, thick and the etching is deep.Bad: What the heck is up with this 5mm hole for locks? Does anybody actually need to take quick look at their seed? A little looky poo at the old seedarooni? Accessing a seed is an event. I'll cut it open. Just make it 3mm like the other one so I don't have to buy two different sizes of rivets. (Yes you should be using rivets)
