Had this switch installed and Everytime I shifted in reverse the fuse would blow. The switch was internally grounded and sending hot + into it caused the short. Installed a GM back switch and it fixed it.

This switch failed less than two years in. Discovered the failure during an oil change and system check at Oil Can Henry's. Found the fuse for the backup lights burned out, replaced with a new fuse and it immediately burned out as soon as I placed the gear into reverse. Bought a new switch at auto parts store, installed and all is good now.

The part did not fit my truck like it was supposed to. It was too long and the threads were too large. I did not return it because after I paid the return postage I would only be getting $4 back, not worth my time.

I have installed quite a few backup switches into my standard transmission cars and trucks over the years and this product which I have used before failed in a big way. While installing it into my transmission on my 1998 Isuzu hombre it sheared off with very little force on my part leaving a hole in the side of my transmission and in order to get the threaded part out of my transmission I will have to pull the transmission. The part is warranted against defects, which the one I received was defective, but I'm sure it is for the cost of the defective part not the nightmare the defective part has now created for me. I would never take a chance with this part again and would not recommend it to anyone, unless you want to experience the same feeling I had while tightening it and feeling that something bad had just happened, very bad.

Don't buy it unless you know how install them. Sometimes thier place will be so hard to install

This solved my no back up light problem. Tight squeeze installing it. Had to cut a 1/2 inch off the end of my deep socket to get it over the switch to tighten it. Works great.

I used this switch to replace the original manufacturer switch in a NV3500 found in a 2005 GMC Sierra. It works flawlessly and installation was simple and easy.

2003 Jeep TJ/Wrangler Sport. Back up lights stopped working. This fixed it. Simple and quick to replace, once you have a socket deep enough.
