This is not for professional work. But it works for keeping your backyard maintenance. The fill up bag is too small. Our backyard is big we tried and finished it . But one plastic part due to constant turning and heat it cracked. We like to see if company can send that part?All together it's a okay equipment.

Dethatches as it should. So much moss came out. Use the solid metal blade instead of the tines spring blade

This thing is the best our yard had a lot of dead grass and we were impressed by how good it did. I do have to say that the bag does not hold a lot so we took it off. It was very easy to use and had great power. If you have a yard that needs a dethatching buy this product.

My worry since I live in a neighborhood where our houses are very close, was the noise. This has very low noise as you cut the grass and run it. The noise is similar to using a blender in your house, but probably even lower. So it's nice to use to cut at any time of the day! Blades cut well! Battery lasts at least 3 full backyard cuts. No issues at all! Perfect!

Mon mari l’a utilisé le printemps dernier et ce printemps. Nous l’avons laissé à des amis et famille et elle fonctionne très bien. Léger, facile à manier, se transporte bien, fais de l’excellent travail. Très bonne qualité. Nous allons commander un autre dethatcher car il commence à être usé. Je recommande.

Did its job! After several days of raking dead grass with my wife and seeing no end in sight, I started fearing the end of a marriage. Did a bunch of research and found this inexpensive unit that's not much more than the housing and a roller that removes the dead grass, not the good grass. I was surprised how well it worked. Two drawbacks 1) the bag fills up fast and has to be dumped a bunch of times 2) flinging the cord around is a pain, but for the price and how little you use it - I can deal. I did not see any battery-powered dethatchers on the market, although EGO was supposed to release a handheld model, which was much more expensive. Happy Lawning!

love this little machine it does some heavy duty work works great highly recommend especially being electric you could plug it in and clean up the yard and get all the underlying grass out and aerate the lawn for better growth

Worked great on my small yard. Bagger is small, but easy to work with , had to empty every pass. I used it without the bagger the second time and then ran my push mower with a bagger on a low setting when I was done worked great. Best used on dry yard.

Buying this was cheaper than renting a scarifier for overseeding our front lawn. I didn't have high expectations, but It worked great. Seemed plenty strong enough to dig down into the dirt of a fully established lawn. It pulled up two huge commercial bins of thatch in the process. I cut the grass really low before using the scarifier. Raked, and then seeded and set the sprinklers to run every 4-hours for a few mins.A few comments:1. It requires more assembly than other similar devices... about 15-20 mins to assemble.2. The catch-bag is 100% useless. You're going to have to manually rake afterwards.3. The hold lever pinches your hand. Wear gloves.4. 13-in is very narrow. We have a very small front lawn that is 80% landscaping and 20% lawn, but even for that small patch of grass it was a slow process. If you have a medium-size lawn this will take a very long time. Don't even consider this for a larger lawn.

For 30 years I have looked after our lawn. Usually it would be just worrying about the weeds and keeping it mowed during mowing season. The last 2 years have been different. Two years ago we had, for the first time, someone else do some work on the lawn. Aerating, thatching, new soil and seed. The soil was mostly sand and wood, they didn't aerate, weeds were left behind and they lied in emails. Our lawn didn't really recover well after that. Too much sand!! Last summer was the death nail. Our lawn was fried! During the fall and winter we noticed the moss was taking over. In comes this little machine. When I opened the box I was taken aback at how small and light weight it was. When I saw the catch bag I knew I wasn't going to use it!! It's the size of a grocery bag! I would have had to dump the bag every 10 seconds for the amount of moss I have. I was also sceptical that this little machine would be able to handle the job at hand. Well, I was surprised!! I used the attachment that was already installed on the machine, the scarifier attachment. Oh, it was easy to put together. The little machine was pulling up the moss in piles everywhere I went with it. I did the whole lawn back and forth in one direction, raked everything up and bagged it and then did the lawn again the other way. Eight lawn and garden bags full and the lawn looks better, thinner and a lot less moss. There is still moss here and there but it was a big job for a little machine. I will do the lawn again another day. The machine is quite easy to use even when the cord keeps getting in the way!! I'm quite impressed with it and it did make a tedious, labour intensive job much easier.
