This fan functions very well at keeping my laptop cool. This is an older laptop and I normally only use it for short periods of time because the battery would get so hot. This fan solved my problem.The sound of the fan is almost imperceptible. It’s good that the ambient light shines whenever the fan is on so that I don’t forget that it’s running.You receive a USB cable with instructions as to where to plug it into the laptop stand/fan. The stand also comes with several other USB ports for connecting laptop accessories.The stand is designed so that it can be tilted and or raised in a variety of configurations. It is made of high quality metal and the laptop sits securely on top of the fan.
