Outer Dimensions
Make sure the Large Luxury Console Dog Car Seat will fit your console. The outside of this car seat is 7 inches high, 12 inches wide, and 19 inches long.
Inner Dimensions
To ensure your pet's comfort, make sure the Large Luxury Console Dog Car Seat is the right size for them. The inside of this car seat is 5 inches high, 9 inches wide, and 16 inches long.
Important Parts of Your Console
Console seats are secure to the vehicle’s console while the pet is attached with a safety strap from the seat to the pet’s harness. In total, there are four straps:
The safety strap (#1), two containment straps (#2 - only one side is pictured; there is another containment strap on the other side of the car seat as well), and one front strap (#3).
The front strap goes under the lid of the console preventing the seat from tilting to the rear. The safety strap (which is centered and threaded into the rear of the console and is the connection point for the containment straps underneath) attaches the dog to the seat. The containment straps are the straps that anchor the seat to the car.
Installing Your Console
Thread the Containment Straps between the upper and lower seat cushions on both the driver and passenger seats adjacent to the console.
There should be a metal support that the containment strap can go around and then be re-connected making a circle. Another option for the containment strap is the seat post on the floor of the vehicle.
Place the car seat on the console with the Safety Strap to the back end and the Front Strap facing forward.
Lift the console lid and wrap the single Front Strap under the lid and tighten.
This strap simply prevents the console from tilting and is not intended as security in braking or accidents.
Next, open the Containment Straps previously installed and reattach them to the Safety Strap loops on the underside of the car seat. Adjust the straps to tighten the seat to the console.
Once the seat is in place, the clasp on the Safety Strap is attached to your pet by their HARNESS. DO NOT ATTACH TO A COLLAR.

the console in my Mazda 6 is short so this is fit perfectly on my console. my 11 pound havanese throws up in the car if I put her in a carseat on the passenger seat or in the back seat. I purchased this carseat and put it on the console so she could be right next to me and she had never thrown. So apparently her car sickness is actually anxiety. The only complaint I have about it is that she couldn't lay down in it because she is too long, but she is happy just to sit up next to me, and I am happy she is not throwing up.

I have a 11 Lb Dachshund and drive a F-350 King Ranch! It fits perfectly on the center console (like it was made specifically for my truck!) she loves it because now she can ride up there securely and can see even better. Starring at doors, willing my return. I highly recommend this to anyone that takes their critter everywhere with them. You won’t regret this. The quality is really good. Is not cheaply made and super easy to install. Can’t wait for my next road trip. I will bypass the crate all together. Even has the secure lease/clip so that they can be secured in it. It’s a cozy and comfortable little nest for her. Would buy again.

My Pom is 10lbs and fits snugly in the small size console seat. He’s an anxious rider, 8 years old, and it’s just too dangerous for him to be on my lap whether I’m passenger or driver. Finally started researching. First thing I love is that this bed is made in the USA. Second, the quality is excellent. Sturdy but soft enough to be comfortable. I thought he would hate it, but he actually layed down and rode quietly for the first time ever! The only downside is not in the product but my vehicle is a CX5 Mazda and the console is tiny and kind of moon shaped so the seat doesn’t sit very well. But I am determined to make it work and had to put a spacer (pringles can LOL) in the cup holder under the dog seat to make it not tilted. It’s not ideal, but makes for a more secure fit and I’m happy with the remedy. I’d highly recommend this bed, but Mazda owners be warned, not a perfect fit for small consoles.

This dog seat worked perfection for us! Stella is 10.5 lbs and fit a bit snug in the small, but she made it work. It fit great on the armrest. She could sit and see out, and lay down to rest. We traveled for 2 weeks and she was comfortable and safe. I’m very happy with this purchase.It was hard to get the side straps right. However, that could just be me.

Although I didn't give this a five star review, it does in fact meet your needs of you have a small dog and would like to have them seated in the console area of your vehicle. My complaint is that if the front side of the carrier were a couple inches higher, it would prevent your small dog from slipping of the edge when putting their paws there to look out the window. Ours constantly is slipping forward whenever there are bumps in the road or when braking (and she's not a cluts).I also don't know that a larger size would fit consoles very well. Kind of expensive for the workmanship.

I prefer this type of dog carseat over the ones that go around the headrests because I don’t have to constantly move it when I have passengers which saves me from having to constantly uninstall/reinstall. Also, my dog isn’t near a window now so my windows stay clean. He’s 5 pounds and the small gives him a little bit of room which is nice. The foundation of it is made from foam so it holds its shape and doesn’t hurt him if he gets jerked around. I ended up taking out the back strap that goes around the seats so all that’s holding it in place is the front strap & I haven’t had any issues with it moving. Only downside is there’s no room for the center console to be an arm rest but that should be pretty obvious. I recommend this to small dog parents shopping around for a doggy seat. Worth the buy.

Absolutely love it! I hesitated because of the price but now having it and seeing how secure and comfortable for my dog is I’m glad I bought it.I drive a 2007 Ford Escape. My dog is 10lbs.The seat is very snug going in as the console is not as wide as the bed. However it fits very securely. The seat sticks out from the back by 2” but in no way does it interfere with passengers in the back.It is a bit pricey. There are cheaper ones. I paid the $100+ because I needed it desperately for a trip. If not I would’ve rather spent less.My dog loves it because (Don’t worry. She’s always buckled by her harness) no more balancing in the middle while driving or me sticking my arm in front of her coming to a stop so she doesn’t go forward.

I had purchased 4 others ones prior to finding this one. Save time and money and just purchase this one in the size you need. I have a 3lb Teacup Yorkie and it gives her room to turn around or stretch out for long trips. It sits high but low enough that she can still see out when sitting. The cushion is reversible and washable, solid sides and bottom. No directions on how to install had to figure out what works for us. Put straps around the headrests and the console and it is very secure it doesn't move at all and we can still open the console so no need to remove it all the time. We have a Tahoe and you still have a little bit of the side left to put your elbow on or you can put it on the carrier as that is comfortable as well. I purchased the large knowing it would be big but I am so glad I did she just loves it and so much room for her and long trips. I hope the pictures help you as well but if you have questions I would answer them as I am a certified purchaser and not paid/

I bought this item for my 6 lb chihuahua and she just loves it. Just enought space for her to either sit and enjoy the view or lay down and snooze. It has a clasp that attaches to her harness to keep her safe from sudden stops etc...It fits very well between the front seats of my nissan sentra and is the perfect size for the console which it is mounted on. Easy to install. It sits high enough for her to see what's going on outside of the car on our ride. When not in use, we just unclip the front buckle from the console and flip it backwards to rest in the centre of the back floor. Perfect. I would recommend this product for anyone who would like to give their arms a rest from propping up your chiweewee on car rides!!

When I got this product it was a race between my two pups who would get to sit in it. The dog is elevated to see out while driving and can curl up to sleep on longer rides. So far, the foam is holding up to its use as foreleg rest.

This product is very good for a small dog. Our dog loves it. He can sit and look out the window, or he can lay down and fall asleep in it. He is safe and secure inside and really loves getting into it when we get in the car.
