It works but didnt decrease temps at all compared to the stock heatsink. I installed it correctly with good thermal paste. I Should had just kept stock heatsink.

Bought this to replace very noisy fan in my Simple.tv unit. This fit nicely, came with the thermal paste and mounting pins... easy. Very quiet and keeps the unit much cooler.

CONS - Did not fit either the Northbridge OR the Southbridge on my motherboard (SLI KRAIT 970A)PROS - Pure copper. Nice packaging. Very effective.Even though it didn't fit my board, I was able to rig it with some Nylon. I'm not confident that the entire surface of the chipset is making contact with the heatsink, but I'm still seeing a 10C degree drop in temps at stress test.Anyone have a better idea to rig it up? As you can see in the pic, I've got to turn it diagonal and tie some nylon string because the screw holes aren't far enough apart.

I installed this unit on a Chenbro CK23601 36 port SAS expander board. The original heatsink+fan on the LSI controller chip is flimsy and the fan was no longer working, leading to a hot unit. I took a chance purchasing this based on a forum post explaining that the mounting holes were compatible with a Northbridge chipset. The SLF-1 installation was perfect fitment wise. The copper heatsink fits in diagnoal relative to the LSI chipset, but covers the entire surface. The heatsink fan connector (3pin) isn't compatible with the SAS expander header (2pin), but cutting and resplicing the black and red wire onto the OE connector solves that.

This "Enzotech SLF-1 Forged Copper Northbridge / Southbridge Low-Profile Heatsink" Does not fit in my Mobo, is way too small currently using a Gigabyte GA-990FXA-UD3. So I just used super glue and glued it into my northbridge and it worked... But not as intended LOL.

Ordered this chipset fan as a replacement for the original on an A8n-SLI Asus motherboard. This is the third replacement on this motherboard but the first using SLF-1 Enzotech. It was a very close fit, but it worked great and so far its performing good as it was designed to do and is very very quiet, not as the original flawed fan design. If you have an A8n-SLI board and need a chipset fan, this one will work good because of its thin design leaving room for the big video cards designed for todays motherboards.

My original chipset fan on the ASUS A8N-SLI Deluxe MB went bad and started buzzing, if it worked at all. This was a nice upgrade over the very cheap feeling one that came on the MB. The attachment pins are just slightly mis-aligned for a perfect fit but will still seat the fan solidly where it needs to go. If your chipset fan is no longer functioning properly or you just want better than stock this is a great upgrade.
