The tops would not flip over like they were supposed to do. Years ago we got a wooden one for our kid and it worked fine. Not these two, this time.

These tops really are pretty cool. I've spun them over and over and I'm still amazed by the physics which makes them slowly rotate upside down to the top-heavy unstable position. I'm a science guy, and I still don't completely grasp why.As I mentioned in the title, the chrome one is bright, shiny, and just beautiful, but the gold top is anodized and looks cheap. Each comes in it's own small felt storage bag, which is a nice touch. Well worth the money.

The tops are painted and the finish is not as smooth and shiny as pictured. Other than that they work alright. A little tricky to spin fast enough to flip, but fun to practice with.

I bought these to have something to do between calls at my job which is in a call center. And I found myself quite enjoying playing with these what I like is, if you spin them and they're a little bit off center they almost tip upside down and then start spinning upside down rather than the way they're supposed to. I'm sure based on their shape that is by design but that really amused me and gave me endless fun. Well worth the price for the amusement that I get out of them. Definitely better than a fidget spinner. The only downside that I personally see is the the metal where you spin it kind of starts feeling uncomfortable on your fingers after a while.

I had a similar top as a kid, it was a cheap plastic thing that only worked about 1/2 the time. These on the other hand are much sturdier and work almost every time. My kids love seeing them flip over and spin on the handle. The felt bags are a nice extra.

These things rock. They come in a pair, I got my son them for Christmas. They flip part of the way through their run if you get a good rip on em. It’s like a magic trick. Sturdy construction, we battle these all the time when we have time to kill. Grateful.
