The HDD is recognized by my computer, but access is blocked with an "ACCESS DENIED" message. I've tried all the recommended solutions found online with no success. Since the hard drive is used/refurbished (RENEWED) it may still retain the previous owner's file permissions.

I got this Hard Drive to replace my old (failing) hard drive.The older one was on death's door (sent alerts to OS, eventually overheated and crashed system).It's been about 3 weeks since I installed it, and it's working just fine.No alerts to the OS. No crashes. Quick/Proper read/writes/views/etc.I'm a happy customer.Thank you!
