Ok, put these bad boys on over the weekend, delivery and packing was perfect, when I finally got them on they look super sweet and are very sturdy. Install took a little longer than it should have due to terrible engineering but it's an easy fix. What I had to do is take a 4 ft. crowbar to separate the brackets about a 1/2 inch each so I could have enough clearance to bolt them on, then rattle canned the scuffs inside the bracket with rust-oleum to protect from rusting, there is no need for a plasma cutter (like the one dude did) or drilling of extra holes as others here have done.Like the other reviews stated the more 'U' shape goes in the rear, they are packaged in different colors, one clear and one green but cannot remember which color goes on what side and the instruction give no indication.I love the look and feel of these and very glad I got them, took a star off for poor engineering.

I love the look and feel of them, but installation was unnecessarily difficult. The clearance for installing the nuts was so tight I needed to use a series of wedges and an excessive amount of time. These should install in minutes with one person, but look about two frustrating hours with two people. Once you have them on they feel like part of the Jeep and look great, but there is no excuse for the difficulty in installation. If you are patient by all means get them they are awesome once on. The reason for 3 starts is for hassle of install and I did have some finish worn off due to the factory packing and shipping where the two rails rubbed against each other.

I got these for my wife's 2013 Jeep Wrangler 2 door. The welds and the bends seem to be done nicely, and the black textured finish is nice as well... I found the same problem that a few of the other reviews here on Amazon have mentioned -- the way the the mounting plates/buckets are built, I couldn't get the nuts to even thread on to the bolt because there wasn't enough clearance to do so. I ended up having to take my plasma cutter to the brand new guards and cut out a hole to allow the nut to clear. In my case, it was the front-most bolt on both sides that didn't have enough clearance. Also, as at least one other review mentioned, the instructions give absolutely no indication as to which slider goes on which side of the rig. After getting the first one mounted, I noticed that it didn't like up correctly with the body (it stuck way out at the back). This was because I'd installed it on the wrong side. To make it clear for others, the more-rounded end of the guard goes towards the front. If I had to make the choice again to purchase these, another brand, or just fab up my own -- I certainly would NOT purchase these again.

Fits my 2015 JK 2 door just fine. Looks great and very sturdy.Installation took longer than I expected (one person install using jack stands to assist). Even with 3 of 4 smaller bolts loose, I could not get the outside one lined up right to be able to get a socket up in there against the housing. It seemed like it was not aligned right. So I pulled it back off, HAND-TIGHTENED THE TWO OUTSIDE BOLTS FIRST, then put the inside bolts on. With it kinda loose, I was able to jiggle it into alignment to allow the outside bolts to fit properly. Worked fine this way.As someone else mentioned, there IS a LEFT and RIGHT. Both are not the same.Great looks, sturdy rails, a step, no clearance loss, rock protection, and even car door protection in parking lots!Edit:After a couple of months, I kept noticing a squeak/grind from one corner of the rail mount. the passenger side front. I kept re-torqueing to 85lbs, but the squeak kept coming back. I noticed that the large washer on this mounting point was touching the inside of the rail mount and was rubbing with body flexing. None of the other three mounts had this issue (a 1/4" clearance), so I assume this is due to manufacturing tolerance issues.I searched around, and found out that a competing manufacturer addresses this squeak by instructing you to grind down one side of each washer. I ground the offending washer so it had clearance from the rail housing, and this fixed the problem.

I purchased these for my 2013 Jeep Wrangler (2 -DR) even though Amazon says that it's not compatible. But Rugged Ridge and most other sellers indicate that it is.Anyway, I installed the 1st sidebar very easily, everything lined up perfectly- then attempted the 2nd side. The 2 holes for the bolts didn't line up. I assumed maybe I had installed the wrong sides, so I took the 1st one off and moved it to the other side- again, perfect fit. But the 2nd one still didn't line up with the holes. The documentation makes no mention of left side vs right side- so I have no idea if these should be exactly the same or not. At any rate, having one sidebar that fits both side and one sidebar that fits neither is a problem.TERRIBLE! I took the 1st one off and packed it up to return. NO MORE RUGGED RIDGE PRODUCTS FOR ME.
