This item does not stick to a rubber backed rug. You must place it on the narrow hem edge of the rug bottom. Of course, this is too narrow for the item to stay in place on the rug bottom. It sticks to the tile floor very well. I tried everything...cut it into smaller pieces that fit just the rug hem, etc. Just didn't work and because I cut it up, I could not return it. Bummer.

At first they are pretty sticky but, with time my rug was not staying in place anymore. Maybe the tile?

The rug grippers work very well, but i didn't think that the tape would hold any part of the rug down, boy was I wrong I haven't had any problems with it since I put it on the rugs now I can walk across the floor without tripping over them,definitely worth the money!
