This is a great carpet protector. I've used a clear one before but this yellow one is surprisingly useful in terms of remembering where the carpet protector is put down and keeping contractors onto planned areas of floor only. The roll is pretty generous in length and the plastic is thick enough for most purposes - it can be pierced or cut of course but its only meant to stand up to general tread and use, not being cut etc.The roll is a little tricky to get 'started' and the tape tends to stick to itself if it folds back upon itself, but once you have it going its easy to roll out - i found it best simply to push it it along with my feet, walking behind it to trample it down for better adhesion. This is Everbuild's 'Premium' offering, they also offer a cheaper 'Contract' grade which is thinner (less microns) and hence less hard-wearing. I would say that you probably want to go for this one unless money is extremely tight - anything thinner and I think it would tear and rip fairly easily. All in all very happy to recommend and I'd definitely buy again. Its not cheap but its a lot cheaper than replacing damaged carpet!

This stuff is great and seals the carpet well from dust. One star less as it’s hardish to put down as so sticky and is a two person job - but once you master a technique it is straightforward to use!

Absolute rubbish ! Dont waste your money , doesnt stick to carpet at all , when you walk around on it after youve attempted to apply it it just gathers up.in the direction of the carpet pile ! Had high hopes but a complete waste of money , stick to dust sheets , wish i had of !! Not impressed at all

Used this to protect the carpeted stairs in my house during a renovation project. It is a bit of a pain to apply and would have been easier with two people. The roll is not quite wide enough for my stairs so I had to apply it twice.Photo is from the second time applying the film. The first application, which was on for 3 weeks or so, was starting to peel off the edges and break in places where more pressure is applied walking up/down. However it had a lot of foot traffic, bits of dry paint, general dirt and wear and tear so this was not surprising. I still have enough on the roll to do this another 2-3 times! This is absolutely worth having and has kept the carpet looking great for a small price.Side note: I used a similar product, which is not sticky, to cover my hard floors. See the grey stuff in the photo? It's like a fairly thick cardboard roll. This has to be re-done every few days as it gets absolutely wrecked, especially if it's raining and people walk the moisture into the house. However there isn't really a similar product for hard floors that I've found works very well.Only cons are that it's quite hard to work with due to how sticky it is and it's also quite hard to cut. Again, having a 2nd person on hand would have made it significantly easier.
