We have a new propane furnace for our Bunkie up north. Unfortunately the furnace and pilot would go out entirely every few days. This reignites well so far, and does so quickly as it should! No heat lost in the cabin.

Installed on an older furnace with standing pilot in 80 year old home. Pilot would go out when it would get very windy. Problem solved.

I remote mounted this in a plastic box using 110v as it would not fit inside my boiler.

Awesome! Works for ANY pilot lit device that has 120/24VAC. Works like trick Birthday Candles. You cannot blow out the pilot without it instantly coming back. As fast as lightning!Note: put metal tip close or in pilot flame for sensor to turn spark off. Instructions for wiring are clear.

Great product. I did have to put a heat shield in place to prevent the spark cable getting burned, but installation was straightforward.

This thing is awesome - I never have to deal with a blown out water heater and cold shower anymore! It automatically relights The pilot light when it blows out. The installation was a bit advanced - had to buy a power cord and connectors to complete the install. Positioning the end for a proper repeatable spark may take some dexterity depending on your water heater. Try YouTube for an installation video. If you are not mechanically inclined consider hiring someone to install it. Again - I am very happy with the working product (and so is my family - nice warm water even after wind storms).

The first unit would would not stop sparking, even though the probe was in the flame and glowing red hot. This must be a frequent problem because the instructions specifically address it, telling you to check grounding of the module unit and the pilot. This was triple checked as good. I even ran double grounding wires to both. Ground was confirmed as good, even tried grounding to gas pipe. Called tech support and they thought I must have a defective unit so I ordered another one and got same result. After second failure, had extensive discussion with Robertshaw tech support and they were clueless. Very disappointed as I cannot find a similar product.
