I like the idea of this little gadget - a breakout board that allows you to use three RJ45 cables to access a total of 24 signals, providing a convenient way to extend a lot of wires over a long distance. Only one of these devices is included per order, so you will need two unless you're trying to use this as a breakout for a device that already uses an RJ45 cable for something other than Ethernet (for example, a serial console on certain routers).I'm not sure I agree with a lot of the design decisions here. The spring terminals are neat, meaning you don't need to use a screwdriver, but they are extremely dense (basically 2.54" spacing, as far as I can tell). There isn't enough space to insert a thicker gauge wire, so you'll be limited to fairly thin wiring which could be frustrating for some applications or if you prefer to use ferrules. Perhaps more to the point, there's no labeling whatsoever on the board - the listing here indicates which pins go to which terminal, but a sticker or some silkscreening on the board would have gone a long way, even if it was only on the back side.Still a great problem solver if you need to break out 24 signals quickly and easily, but I'd probably have designed this differently for my needs.

Using the spring terminals on this triple RJ45 breakout board to hook up bare wires was the best part of this piece. I'm using network cables for very low voltage LED lighting on my model railway layout. These make it really easy to diagnose and repair, or completely swap out different lighting for buildings and other street lights being carried in a cable. Great little board for my needs!
