Good quality recipe box with lots of recipe cards and a holder included. The only complaint I have is that the recipe cards typically do not have enough space to list all ingredients for a recipe, I had to write smaller and squeeze them on there. They work fine for recipes with less ingredients though. The storage box itself is made of sturdy materials. The box is metal and the top is wooden so it holds up nicely. I like that it has grooves in the top to prop up recipe cards or even a phone or tablet to look at while cooking. It is also a good price!

I so wanted to give this a 5 star rating. It had such potential. I ordered this as a replacement for a tin recipe card holder I’ve had for almost 35 years. I was attracted to the design and function (in theory). However, the reality is that the box is so deep that it swallows up my current recipe cards, making it frustrating to find and remove the cards. I also wish that the dividers were simply A-Z instead of categories like “Bread and Pasta,” “Eggs,” “Breakfast,” etc. As a result, some recipes would fall under duplicate categories. A better option would have been to include 26 dividers with A-Z on one side and categories on the other, giving the user a choice as to their preference. The tin itself is sturdy and so are the recipe cards. However, once again, I was VERY disappointed with the recipe cards. The design is a gross misuse of space. Most of my recipes will not fit on these cards which means I will either be keeping my original 3x5 cards or I will be copying them onto generic 4x6 index cards. In addition, I was looking forward to utilizing the slot on the lid to prop my phone (since many of my more recent recipes are online). Yet again, that was a fail since my phone (with case on) doesn’t fit in the widest slot. After all of these negatives, I’d have to say that the value for the money has been greatly reduced. I get the feeling that someone thought up the idea for this product but never actually tested it to see what needed to be modified.

This is a nice sized recipe box and accessories that is pretty well thought out. The metal box gives it farmhouse vibes and the bamboo wood lid is a decent thickness and fits on the box nicely with a groove/bevel around the inside edges that helps it stay in place. I love the 2 slots in the lid- one thinner which works perfectly for the cards with card sleeve so you can prop your recipe up while reading it. The wider slot works well for a cell phone as long as it doesn’t have too thick of a phone case on it.Inside are recipe cards that are nice sized at 4x6 inches and they have a thin plastic type coating which is great along with several pre-labeled multi-colored divider tab cards. I wish this came with some blank divider cards but you can flip them around (backside is all white) and write your own customized divider categories if you wanted.The center of the box has a fixed divider so I opted to place my most used recipes in the front half section. There is plenty of extra space to add more cards should you ever need but this gives a nice amount to get one started for sure.Lastly there is a measurement conversion chart card for handy reference and a dual sided permanent black marker (one end thin and one thicker) that works nicely on the cards. It doesn’t smear and makes this set feel complete.With the internet many don’t think to have written recipes much anymore and while I do still utilize that for recipe searches as times, I like to have my tried and true recipes written down. I plan to hand this down to my kiddo someday and it’s sturdy enough to withstand years and years of use.This would make a neat housewarming gift perhaps with a few recipe faves written down that you want to share with a tin of homemade cookies, some bread or whatnot.I’m quite happy with this.

Big and beautiful! The recipe box arrives with a thick wooden lid, tons of cute recipe cards (100 pieces), color coded recipe dividers, acrylic clear recipe card sleeve, measurement conversion chart and a black marker pen.The box is sturdy and made of good quality metal. The center divider helps keep the cards tidy and upright. The surface of the recipe box is also very easy to wipe down if it gets soiled while prepping and cooking.I love the wooden lid! Very solid. It has two grooves on top, one wider than the other. The wider groove holds my iPhone perfectly. The narrow groove holds the clear acrylic card holder securely so that the recipe cards can be read easily during food prep.The 4x6 inch recipe cards provide a reasonable amount of space to write down recipes and ingredients. The acrylic holder protects the paper recipe cards while cooking, which was a great add on to the set.I really like everything about this recipe box! They covered all of the bases when designing this set. I love the way it looks, I like the size, I like the way it functions and I like that everything you need to compile and organize special recipes is included in the set. I’m so happy to have this and would highly recommend it. Wonderful!
