Touch pad dies intermittently. Space bar is jittery. But then again, so is the Microsoft branded unit. Neither one is a truly quality item.

Poor quality. Space bar has to be pressed hard. The general functionality is just very poor quality. Wouldn’t buy again.

I had a keyboard before and for some unknown reason it just quit working so I bought this one and omg I'm in love with it on my Surface pro 3. Works great.

Needs re-charging often. Mouse pad is over sensitive and often my windows will accidentally reduce in size, same with browser resolution. Happens when I am simply using the mouse to move the cursor around.. I expected better quality for the price. But I need it so not gonna return it.

My surface is about 6 years old, so it was time to consider an upgrade anyway, and when my Microsoft keyboard bit the dust and I replaced it with this one, it was the final push to upgrade. The touch functionality is odd and I struggle with the delay it has. If it's not minimizing/downsizing windows when I go from typing to using the touchpad, it's highlighting the hidden icons arrow at the bottom right of my screen. The clicking feature of the touchpad is also awful and forces a lot of double clicking when not intended, and dragging things around with the touchpad is a pain. I hate that the caps-lock key doesn't light when active, so adjusting to looking at the tiny light on the opposite side of the keyboard (below the keys where my right palm rests, meaning it's covered most of the time on top of it all) has been annoying. The final annoyance is that it can't communicate when "closed", so my surface will die because it stays awake when the keyboard has a hit key. If you are looking to pay $60 dollars for a keyboard, scrounge up the rest to get a renewed or fresh Microsoft one; it's price is too high for how much worse it is than a "real" one.

It’s a great keyboard for the surface however there are additional gestures coded into the touchpad… swiping down from the top of the touchpad minimizes windows and it renders the top of the touchpad a no go zone reducing the useful area to a somewhat suffocating.

This keyboard works pretty good. The space bar doesn’t work every time I press it unless I intentionally press where the sensor is. Sometimes my hand will graze by the mousepad and I’ll jump places in my document based on where the mouse is. But generally really good. The batter lasts awhile, sometimes takes a minute to connect. Generally this keyboard just takes a small amount of patience to be a good cheaper alternative.

I bought it to see if it was comparable to my other one on my old surface 2. I was quite impressed with it. Has a long battery life, feels good while typing, and was such a good price. Before you go pay $200 plus for a Microsoft one, give this a try.

This thing looks the part, but is absolutely dreadful. The keyboard is usable, but the keys feel rather mushy and the whole thing has a huge amount of flex if you use it on your lap. The touchpad is horrendous. I didn't expect it to compare favorably to the high quality pad on the original type cover, but this is below the level of anything you'll find on a laptop. The surface isn't smooth, it often doesn't register your touch or registers a double tap. Clicking also doesn't work well. Worse still, it doesn't register as an actual touchpad in Windows, so there are no options you can change.I don't have any opinion on the battery life since it was kept plugged in while testing it, but it came completely discharged out of the box, which definitely isn't good.In conclusion, this thing is cheap, feels cheap, works poorly, and I highly recommend avoiding it.

The keyboard looks good and fairly sturdy, and it connects easily. Battery life is also surprisingly long and charging is easy. However, the keyboard is not sensitive enough, in the space bar does not have 2 underneath "keys" like any good keyboard so that is doesn't work if you don't hit it in the middle. This is a very big flae because when typing efficiently you'll always have your thumbs at the extremities of the space so that th hands are placed properly over the keys and therefore, I had to stop to correct the missing spaces between the words. So it's ok for someone who doesn't type very much orvery fast, but it's horrible for fast typers! I ended buying the official microsoft keyboard (which i had before and works very well)
