Great to have one of these old school multi-band radios in time of emergency. Well worth the price and came as advertised. Very good product.

Can't complain about the reception am and FM are wonderful shortwave one don't get anything shortwave two you catch glimpses of things but the band is so tight it's hard to find tune back into the station. On the shortwave and almost seem like I was picking up possibly FM stations bleeding into it. Main problem with mine is the volume button is like shorted it's staticy and the volume cuts on and off as I'm adjusting it. Other than that it's 15 bucks it's a great AM/FM radio and the different power sources is great to have but I can go to the thrift store for $3 get a Panasonic or Sony emfm radio that's a better quality in which I have many of I was just hoping this might be a good short wave portable which it isn't only because you can't find tune it I believe.

I feel bad giving negative reviews, but this radio was terrible. It has poor reception and poor quality sound from the speaker. I could not even plug in the power cable because the two sides of the case didn’t line up properly. It was returned.

It seems like a decent receiver. I couldn't resist getting one at the bargain basement price of half off.AM reception is very sensitive (receiving lots of distant stations at night), and FM pulls in all of the stations I would expect to receive. Signals are received on both SW bands -- mostly the usual blowtorch ones. Once propagation conditions improve, I am sure SW will shine on this receiver. The sound quality is very good. It is right up there with the higher end portables on the market. The build quality is ok, not great. How long will it last? I don't know. I take good care of all of my radios, so hopefully quite a while.Overall, this receiver is pretty decent.

I must have gotten a good one. It picks up Radio Havana Cuba in the backyard. The knobs and switches are a little janky but remember, you're working with equipment built by the lowest bidder. Sound quality is very good on a strong signal across all bands. The tuning is what you would expect from a mechanical analog tuner.

Mala calidad en los materiales, el radio solo funcionó un par de horas y la perilla para cambiar las estaciones se descompuso.

First, what it does have. A/C power cord included for 120v. Takes 3x D cell batteries for portable power. Also has a plug on the back for 4.5v DC power but no wall adapter is included. It has a headphone port on the back, nice touch. Now the bad. The shortwave frequencies pick up nothing. The reception is nearly non-existent for FM and AM. The dial numbers are way off, so it's a guess what frequency you're at. The volume is either off or 1000 dBs.If you want an FM radio that plugs into the wall, and it's tuned constantly to the same very powerful station, I would say this is an OK deal for $3. If you want an emergency radio (like me) then it's a pass.
