I’ve always felt that the battery life of my A6000 camera fell short, especially with the original battery it came with. I eventually purchased a second battery, but genuine Sony-branded replacements are pricey.This adapter is a brilliant solution... it allows you to power your camera using an external source like a USB power bank. With a high-capacity power bank, you can shoot for likely hours without worrying about swapping out batteries. Installation is a breeze too, it’s just as easy to insert as a standard battery.⚡ Important Note: Be sure to use a power bank or wall charger that supplies at least 18 watts as noted on the listing. I tried a few regular USB plugs and the camera wouldn’t turn on. However, both my Anker power bank and Samsung Fast Charging wall plug worked perfectly, thanks to their support for the PD (Power Delivery) standard.

This wired dummy battery for my A6400 works exactly as expected no issues at all. The quality is solid and on par with others I’ve used. What really impressed me was the included USB-C to USB-A adapter, which is super handy if you don’t have a USB-C port. It fits the camera perfectly, and I was able to close the battery door with the wire running through the slot. Exceeded expectations for sure.

I got this to use to repurpose an older A7R2 as a camera for my PC, instead of using the built-in USB/software. I popped open the little "battery" part to look inside and it seems well made, no funny business.Plug and play, I was up and running immediately. Coiled cable for me was a huge plus to minimize having to cable tie loose cabling. Just be mindful, it requires a PD 9V/2A+ USB-C charger which is not included (I used a knock off 9V/3A wall brick)Price is okay for an one-time purchase item.

This power adapter is bringing new life to my Sony a6000 camera. I didn't know (or maybe had forgotten) that the camera door has a little port to allow the use of a wired power source like this one. I tried it out on several portable power banks, including a 10,000 and 20,000mAh packs, and had no problems with compatibility on any of them. Compare that to a typical NP-FW50 battery with 800 -1000mAh and you can carry around the power of a dozen or more batteries to shoot a game or wedding without ever having to swap batteries! I fired off more than 300 shots with the continuous drive and still had 99% battery life on the 10,000mAh pack. The adapter itself is very light, but the plastic had no detectable flex or squeaks and the coiled cord is nice and springy. Makes me want to go out and shoot!
