Very solidly built, extremely fast for our workload (firewall).  Even running at 1GB, this box was had a higher throughput than our previous firewall.

I had a normal cable wireless setup, a modem with a separate WiFi 6 router. I purchased this Protectli Vault along with a managed switch. Installation was strait forward but it will take your network down for a bit. I installed pfSense onto the Protectli and configured the switch. There are many guides that can help you along the way. I am up and running on a more secure firewall that has way more features than my off the shelf router! One thing to note if you are planning on continuing to use your WiFi router is to change it to access point mode. The easiest way to do this is take screenshots of all of your configuration IP's from your modem and your wireless network names (SSID) and passwords for both 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz. Then reset your router to factory defaults by pushing a paper clip into the reset button on the rear of the unit and go through the initial setup and put your router into access point mode (make sure you use a LAN port and not the WAN port on the router).Another thing if you can't get your Protectli to connect to your modem for the initial installation of pfSense. Power up your Protectli and then reboot your modem with it directly connected to the Protectli and it should grab onto the internet connect.Anyways its a great product for increasing your home or small business network security.

Been running this device for a few months now as a network firewall and it's been extremely reliable and had no thermal issues despite its lack of fan. Worth noting that the onboard memory doesn't support ZFS, if that matters to you.
