Love my canner, I used it many times already. Love the size for me as I’m am short, not as tall as the 23 qt. so easier for me to take hot jars out

I've used this pressure canner several times now. Its performance is perfect, just as I needed. Directions and first use were spelled out well, everything about this pressure canner is just what I expected, high quality, perfect performance, well machined and well made.

Haven't pressure canned in 30 years, so the learning curve made me feel unsure. I kept reading the instructions. How fast does the steam have to be coming out to count the 10 minutes to put on the weight. I erred on the side of caution. Additionally on my glass top stove for mt elevation I was to can at 12 lbs. It took awhile to get to 10 or 11 and then jumped to 15. No matter that I turned on medium low, it stayed there. Thought better to overcook than not be in the kill zone for botulism. I got it done and canned my own quart jars of chicken bone broth - and it is definitely sealed. Very pleased.

Second repost and not sure what I did incorrect. But product works fantastic as described. I did see some negatives from others on this but not sure why. The product is durable.IMPORTANT = make sure to check and tighten all screws. We failed to not check the vent lock and could not reach ambient pressure. We pulled off the lid and noticed it was not tightened al the way.So we now have a check off list on how to work.2nd attempt worked well. The pressure and heat on a GLASS surface is alittle tricky. But this was our second time canning and if you stick with it you should be able to regulate by paying attention to the heat and pressure.As of today 1/21/22 we are now canning jam and again had NO issues. This is a solid product and I can see using this for a long time.CONS+ Package arrived beat up but the product was NOT damaged.CRITICALLY IMPORTNT !!!!= Make sure you wash this inside and out as you will find machining grey debris on it. Do not use without washing and wear gloves.Other than that if you follow the instructions you should be able to enjoy this product for a long time.

The directions are thorough and easy to follow. The safety features make the canner almost foolproof. Someone would need to try very hard to defeat the calves and interlock. Used this recently to can chicken and pork. It is made of aluminium, so induction cooktop won't work with it. Follow the operation and maintenance instructions and you will be satisfied with your purchase. Highly recommended!

I am new to pressure canning. We have only canned with water baths in the past. I’m so glad we purchased the Presto 16 Qt pressure canner. I was always afraid to use them. Not now this canner has step by step instructions and many recipes in the book. There are several safety features. Heat distributed evenly. Just canned all of our carrots. We will be eating fresh produce all winter long.

They are built out of thinner meatal than the old school ones, used to sterilize grain bags, worked great didn't melt any bags even without liner

Love this pressure canner! I have a glass top electric stove and this canner is no problem for the stove top. It hold 8-quarts when loaded with jars and water and is easy enough to lift off the hot eye and move to a cooler area of the stove. I was using the wide mouth quart jars but it appeared to me that you may be able to fit one more regular quart jar into this canner. I haven’t used the regular mouthed quart jars yet so I can’t state this as a fact, just more of an observation. This was a good purchase for me and I like this pressure canner a lot.
