Did not fit right on the body of my Shure V15 Type III.I did test it and it appeared to work and sound ok but I did not want to risk wearing the needle.I instead spent money went with the Jico SAS and don’t regret it.

This works ok for a vintage Shure V15 type III cartridge. The sound is ok, nothing out of the ordinary. However the plastic guard that fits over the needle wobbles and hangs crooked even in the up position. The post that fits into the cartridge is not the right size, it is much smaller than the hole on cartridge and smaller than other stylus for same cartridge type. It is very wobbly and slides out enough to silence the music until popped back in. Do not waste your money on this Pfanstiehl as there are better alternatives out there for this particular stylus model number VN-35E. Look eslewhere. The needle is also very fragile and flimsy and bent with a minor touch so it is now in the trash. Not the hardiest of needles by any means. VERY cheaply made IMO.

Right channels is very distorted. Left channel is partially distorted.Update:Turns out my needle was out of alignment. Once that was addressed, this needle sounds amazing. I apologize for the previous incorrect review.

I understand that this was an inexpensive stylus, but it makes my Shure V15 Type III cartridge sound like garbage. It's cheap Chinese trash, and I wish I hadn't wasted my money on it.

Perfect inexpensive replacements that work just a good as the manufacturer's replacements which are not easy to find. I'm using this in an old Shure cartridge. Easy fit, sounds great and I'm back to playing my vinyl.

A decent enough needle for the price. Tracking could be better- I have the tracking pressure rather cranked up to compensate.. Certainly wears out faster than the original stylus.. and the Jico or Sas modern equivalences. But sounds fantastic when it works properly. I've also gotten one of these cartridges in the past with a slightly bent cantilever but for the cost, hit or miss, it's a good buy for shure v15 type iii users. Update: I've decided to drop a star. I've bought several of these and other generic styli over the years and I can't get any to last more than 50-100 hrs. So. These work (usually) and will probably last some time with modest use (hopefully). But there's better styli to be had. The Jico website is a good place to start. My current Hyperelliptical has changed my life.
