This is great to keep my lurcher from getting too close to the front seats. But as I have a Mini Estate the fixings don't seem to work for the small size of my car but I have managed to install in in a different manner & it's really good.

Not worth the box it comes in, terrible flimsy badly sewn product - i haven't even tried to put it in the car. Don't bother.

Call me OCD, I just got a 2019 Subaru Crosstrek and wanted to product the car from his drool and fur. This product works well with the hammock and door protector. I also threw two harbor freight mover's blanket on the back seat to further protect the car.As for the cargo barrier, I only used the horizontal straps and tied them to the outer rod of the headrest. It is very sturdy as long as your dog doesn't try to rip it down. My dog is very obedient I just needed something to keep him from sticking his head to the front.

It's not the strongest barrier in the world, a determined dog could definitely climb over it, but for the price you can't go wrong. My dog can also fit between the window and the side of the headrest in the back, so she could get into the middle/front of the car if she wanted to but she stays in the back no problem (she sometimes does squeeze through if she's left in the car alone). You can see through the barrier no problem, I don't even notice that it's there and I love that it makes no noise whatsoever (a lot of the cage ones rattle and slip around).

Easy to set up, easy to see through and keeps my vizsla in the cargo! Perfect.Smaller dogs would have room to jump over and into backseat on either side.

Ordered this barrier to keep our dog off the bed in our travel trailer. It fits in the space needed and I think it'll work well.I'll post an update if we have an issues with it after some use.Only problem I'm having is I can't figure out how to fold it up to get it back in the bag! The directions sound simple - hold left and right sides, then twist hands in opposite directions to form three concentric circles. I've tried and tried, but cannot get it down small enough to fit. Any tips?

We were looking for a cargo barrier to keep our 35lb terrier mix from jumping into the front seat. The problem is the majority of barriers are comprised of rods or bars that are secured to the headliner and then in turn secured down at the cargo floor. My husband and I were concerned that the headliner might end up getting gouged with a system like that, so we began looking into other options. That's when we found this barrier. If you look closely at the photo, you'll see that it doesn't provide full coverage. We installed it with no issues, but that's when we REALLY noticed the significant gaps at either end. The first thing our dog did was to place his front paws at the side of the seat that's closest to the window. He probably would have jumped to the front that way if we hadn't guilted him into not doing it lol. He's a good boy.The barrier is easy to install and remove, so no problem there. I just can't see this restraining a large, boisterous dog. Once our guy sees this up, he knows to stay to behind it. I think this barrier will only be effective on older, smaller and more relaxed pups.

If our dog tried hard enough he could get through this barrier, but with a little training he is doing GREAR! Our dog just hangs out in the back and doesn't bother us! He is a rescue who has some anxiety, so it is a big deal for him to sit so far from the front seat. The visual barrier really helps him to calm down. Before we bought this he owned the baskseat and then we had to constantly clean up his hair for passengers... Should have invested in this earlier! Also, we set it up (not too hard) and leave it in the back. We can see through it no problem and then we are always ready for a trip to the dog park or whereever...

This product is simply not as advertised or demonstrated by the manufacturer. First, the upper cinch straps designed to go over the rear headrests don't reach far enough in our RAV4 to attach as instructed (see pics of what it SUPPOSED to look like). The upper cinch strap on our unit just doesn't reach the headrests as advertised. Second, the metal loops that serve as fasteners do not remain tight on the straps and thus the whole thing tends to loosen after just a few rides, requiring re-tightening. Because the upper cinch straps don't reach and fasten around our headrests I had to loop around the headrest posts, which is not ideal because again the metal loops do not hold the straps tight and in place for longer than a few rides with our dogs, and the net isn't installed as designed meaning it's simply not as secure. Solvit used to use plastic clips as fasteners which I assumed worked much better for tightening and staying tight. Overall, this product is a huge fail for us.

This barrier was easy to set up and perfect for the size of my car (Subaru Impreza Hatchback). I have a Springer Spaniel who weighs about 45lbs and he is not able to knock it over. This barrier leaves the area from the headrest to the nearest side of the car open which is perfect for him to lean his head and feel the breeze of the open windows without knocking the net over. Sure, he whined when I first installed the barrier but now it's just another day in the car for him! If you have a large SUV paired with a large dog, this may not be the barrier for you but it manages to keep my "jumpy" Springer in place.

I have had several metal grates to keep the dogs in the back, but got tired of the marks on the ceiling and the backs of seats, so I decided to give the Solvit a try. Well, I actually teamed it up with one of those hammocks, so I was unable to use the gizmo that attaches it to the front seat. Nevertheless, it has kept the dogs in the back (they still occasionally stick their noses around the left or right) and it doesn't reduce visibility. I like it so much that I got one for my wife (actually the whole setup). Now if we could get a reliable solution for protecting the doors...

Pet barriers are annoying to purchase as the good ones always cost $100 or more. Feeling cheap one day, I decided to give this one a go. One of the support straps broke as I was installing it -- just from putting the support rod into it -- so the manufacturing was predictably shoddy. But I could live with that -- and even fix it. The real problem was that the first time I tried leaving my two dogs in the back (one 60 lb dog, one 15 lb dog) it was a joke. Within five minutes both dogs were in the front seats and the pet barrier did not even appear to have moved. There were just two happy dogs in the front and an undisturbed pet barrier in the back. So now I'm out $30 and off to buy a proper barrier. My advice: just pay the extra money for a good one. There doesn't appear to be a cheap version on the market that's as effective as the $100+ items. (I gave this review an extra star because it might work ok just as a visual barrier if you've got a huge dog).
