This product is toxic. When opened the packaging the smell of oil/kerosine filled the room. There is zero percent chance this product passes VOC standards set by the EPA or by California. I cannot believe this would be sold or marketed for children/back to school.

I’ve been using these pastels for about 20 years, for myself and teaching kids. They are high quality. Look great. I like that each color has a label in the same color. Good price. And if you need more colors get the 36 or 50 pack. For refills, I get the class pack box and refill the light blue, light green, yellow etc. the only thing is I wish they would make refills for the dark brown and the yellow ochre (tan).These will last one child a wholeYear if used gently.
