Brilliant tool and does exactly what it's meant to. I've used it to cut bars to size and it was flawless. Solid construction and looks like it should outlast me.

Easy to use and put in vice. While I can't argue that park quality is great it feels like a premium for the name.

I needed this for a simple job, but an important one. Cutting the head tube was a task i dreaded, but the park tool made things so much easier then expected.I was expecting issues with it being oversized, with finding a good sized saw. But i bought a walmart saw, and didn’t have any issues.Only issue i would have, is the amount it costs for a one time job. I would recommend only to people who plan to swap multiple forks, or want to invest in learning bike maintenance.

This was nice and easy to use. It gives the user the option to cut carbon bars as well. I highly recommend this saw guide for cutting handlebars.

Bought this tool on recommendation of a trusted friend and it did not disappoint. If you are cutting metal (we use for motocross handlebars) this is the tool.

Had to buy this after replacing my forks after a crash . So easy to use thin side alloy/steel thicker side carbon. You can’t go wrong a perfect straight cut whilst holding your forks straight and secure

I bought this to cut spring spacers for motorcycle front forks, and it works great.Racetech supplies thin-wall aluminum tubing with their springs, which is cut to length according to the rider's particular application. A tubing cutter can walk before settling into a circular cut on a thin tube, and the pinched profile of the cut requires filing to get a flat seating surface. This tool makes a nice square cut and the length is easy to control. With the tool clamped in a vice by its bottom edge, I was able to cut 1-3/8" OD .049 wall tubing with a standard hacksaw (actually a nice vintage Capewell) by dropping the blade down each of the angled sides. I'm sure it would work with CPVC pipe just as well, but the thinwall tube leaves more airspace and allows me to use the Racetech oil level spec.

Which one is it? The Amazon description says it can cut round tubes down to 32mm (1 1/4"). The PDF manual on the Park Tool web site says it can cut round tubes from 1-1/16” (27mm) to 1-3/4” (45mm). But the Park Tool web page description says it can cut round tubes from 22mm to 45mm (7/8" to 1-3/4"). I took a gamble and bought it to cut a 22mm aluminum handle bar. The SG-7.2 was able to firmly clamp the bar with very small clearance remaining and completed the cut without issue (see picture).

If you use this with the Park Carbide cutting blade, it is slotted perfectly and makes a clean flat cut. You will need a deep set hacksaw like the one Park sells. I used a regular hacksaw and had to rotate the fork in order to cut all the way around. Rotating it was not a problem because the jig clamps the tube exactly where the cut is, so alignment is easy when rotating the tube. I would recommend getting the correct saw and not having to deal with rotating it. I also did not clamp it into a vice, but because the jig is big enough, it was easy to hold and cut. Another good design feature is the jig holds the tube at the point of cut almost all the way around. This prevents carbon from fraying. If I was not using a carbide blade, I would still wrap the tube with tape at the point of the cut just to be safe.
