Seems a little pricey for only 2 quarts, but it looks to be good quality small pine bark. There was a lot of moisture and a small harmless bug inside. I always microwave my soils anyway before I handmix them to ensure no pests compromise my houseplants. Worked great as soil amendment for finnicky alocasia, syngonium albo, and a melanochrysum!

Very nice, clean pine bark, clean and of small size (4-8 mm). I like that it is smaller in size for my hoya and orchids. It is made in China if that is important to anyone.

Just the right size for 28mm bases. Requires less shaping than cork for rocks but it's brittle so I would recommend some PVA over it to harden once you glue it in place.

This bark arrived very wet with small white things growing on it. I was not able to use it and returned it due to poor and degraded condition

It’s very fine, powdery almost. Wanted a good substrate for Henry the tortoise to play in.Henry is quite opinionated and this stuff just doesn’t do it for her. I put it in one area of her enclosure only. She ventured on to it once or twice, but definitely not a go to for Henry.All is not lost however, Henry has a roomie named Barey a very messy bare eyed cockatoo.As most large bird owners know poop is a problem. This product is a great solution for bird poop problems. I cover the bottom of the tray, about an inch and scoop the poop! Perfect, biodegradable goes strait into the flower garden. No paper to change, stays put, and we both are pleased. Perfect solution to the age old bottom of the bird cage/stand problem. Truth be told she doesn’t have a cage, just stands and trays in different rooms. A happy cockatoo is a quiet cockatoo and we all need peace and quiet whilst living with a cockatoo!

I waited a week longer than expected for this to arrive. I was making a cactus garden gift for a friend. I was terribly disappointed in this product and the small amount that was in this bag, for the price. There was less than a cup full in the bag. I normally order another brand so I'll stick with that. Lesson learned I would have sent it back but I ran out of time to get the plant gift done. It didn't match the product description at all. I do not recommend this product.

This product is something you can get free from any arborist/tree lopper/tree surgeon. What a waste of moneyIf I wanted 340GRAMS of pine bark I’d go scrape if off a tree for fifty AUD
