I resisted purchasing a set of these for years. I found it difficult to stomach the price. However, now that I installed a set on my second S2000 - I regret I waited this long to get a set. Fit, functionality and visual appearance are all outstanding. I would say the only Con is the price... but in retrospect, these really are worth the price, so therefore price isn’t. I’m not a car bling guy - I only do mods that are functional. These most certainly are functional... and I have to admit - they also look great. While the polished ones do not look “OEM” per se (because they are a lot shinier than anything Honda would have put in from the factory), they are lighter than any OEM style hood/hatch shock - so there is a little added value in that. From the fitment standpoint - they look like the car was designed to have them from the factory - amazingly so. I had to make a very minor modification to the hood mount, but that was only to satisfy my OCD. If you own an S2000 - this should be on your list of essential modifications. Not only that - it’s one of the easiest mods you can do.

Easy to install for an S2000 AP1. It looks nice and gives me plenty of room to work under the hood.

Would start to Bow my hood as it reached the safety catch. My 05 Honda S2000 has the original hood and no incidents. If I had closed it all the way it would have bent my hood!!! Returned and I received a full refund.

It does not work on carbon fiber hoods and amazon did not inform me on the website. Now I am stuck with a damper I cannot use. Very disappointed!!!
