This is listed as a waterproof device. When it arrived to my home, I inspected it and found that the cover snaps on and all the components are exposed. The object filled with water in the sink in seconds. If you are looking for a waterproof relay keep looking this is not your relay!

seems to be a good quality unit. Havent tested yet, but it was a direct swap for the old relay. Mounting tab had to be bent to fit my installation...if you have to put a 90 degree bend in the mount, do it BEFORE inserting in the relay. The thin plastic of the relay will crack and break before your mount is bent, leaving you with a loose relay that doesnt stay on the mounting tab.

Used relays to replace the cheap ones supplied with the replacment trim motor/pump on my boat. These are much better made, have already lasted about three times as long as the originals. I keep a couple of extra in my dry box, and have them mounted with industrial grade velcro to the grounding plate, rather than having to fight the screw/nut mount to the grounding plate of my outboard while bouncing on the waves. In the event one of them fail, I can simply pull it off and it is a plug and play swap. No time off of the water!

I wanted to install an electrical supply to the back of my riding lawn mower for a spray trailer I have. The manufacturer offers a kit for this @ about $60.00. I got the factory switch for $12.00 and this relay for $4.00, the wiring and connectors I keep on hand, and 2 hours later I had my power supply ready to go. This relay even came with a wiring diagram. For those who don't know, you can use a relay to open a circuit as well as close one...you can use it to stop power as well as supply power....so having the diagram is very usefull when starting a wiring harness from scratch. I would recommend this one with out a doubt.

The advertisement and the package announce this is a "Waterproof Relay with Metal Bracket". Well it isn't. It is a plastic bracket. When shopping for this I paid about a $1 more for the version that said it had a metal bracket. I don't understand how they can get by with this?

I got this in order to build a circuit for my aftermarket fog lamps. I had to mount the relay under the hood where, as you know, it gets full exposure to the temperatures and humidity and occasionally to rain, dust, etc.. It worked first time and every time since. I definitely recommend it for any application that would expose it to the elements.

I bought this relay to put on my Chevy Truck for some new 10" Electric Radiator fans. I live in the Desert and it gets pretty hot around here. When I run the AC at an Idle the AC was struggling. So I added these fans and I needed a good relay to handle the amps and not get wet. This relay does the trick. So far I have had no problems and the AC works like a charm. One thing I did notice is that the picture shows a metal bracket and the one I got was just plastic. I would have preferred one with a metal bracket but oh well. Other than that it does what it should. I hope it last as only time will tell.UPDATE 9-9-13: Well it has been a year and this little relay is still going strong. Arizona heat has nothing on this relay.....UPDATE: 1-1-2015 So here we are over two years and this thing still rocks.

This relay works well for those FreeWay Blaster Horns I got from Amazon. But I easly broke the Metal Bracket from the PLASTIC Box. But the Bracket is not the Ground for the relay. Just a hanger. I followed the Instructions of someone on installing these Horns and Relay from his Web Site.ONE thing he Failed to mention.( I read and searched his Info 3 Times) That the Center Contact on the Relay is the Ground for the Relay. I had to trouble Shoot for about 15 minutes trying to figure out why the horns would not work. Today they are Loud and Clear.
