This thing popped up almost immediately, but when we got ready to put it back in the bag we had to watch the video (in the advertisement) repeatedly. Once you get it right, closing it is nearly as easy as opening. We don't have a beach nearby so we set it up in the yard. It's roomy: as the pictures show, my wife and son barely make a dent in the spacious inside. One end zips up tight, but the other is just a screen that can be zipped closed or left open. If we decide to use it as a camping tent we need to wait for fair weather. My wife and son plan to sleep in it tonight on the lawn, but I bowed out. It's primarily intended for a sunshade but makes a fun camping tent also if you don't need privacy. It would be great for kids to camp in the yard or a park. We'll take it along on our next trip to the beach to use it for it's intended purpose. Once back in the bag, it takes up very little room and is lightweight. Everything seems to be good quality. We messed around with it for quite awhile before we figured out the proper technique to fold it, made some mistakes along the way, and had no problems with anything coming loose or tearing.Edit: We camped last night in this tent. Had enough room for a queen air mattress, 2 adults, and one 10 year old. If we had used sleeping bags and slept the other direction, we could have gotten 4 adults inside.

I took the Night Cat Pop-Up Beach Tent to the beach here in Southern California, and it was exactly what we needed for a sunny day out.Setup is seriously effortless. You pull it out of the bag, give it a toss, and it pops open on its own. No poles to deal with, no setup drama. It’s ideal for when you want to focus on enjoying the beach instead of fighting with gear.We had plenty of space inside. It was me, my wife, and our kid, with room left over for our bags and even a cooler. You could easily fit another adult or two kids in there without feeling cramped. The layout just works for a small family.What really stood out was how it handled the SoCal sun. The fabric blocks the heat and UV rays really well, so we stayed shaded and comfortable. At the same time, the mesh panels on all four sides let air flow through, so it never felt stuffy. That balance of shade and breeze makes a big difference, especially during the hotter part of the day.It’s also lightweight, easy to carry, and folds down into a compact bag. Folding it back up takes a little practice, but once you get the hang of it, it’s no big deal. It’s similar to folding one of those pop-up car sunshades: you grab the sides, twist it into a figure eight, and it collapses flat. The first couple of times might take a minute, but after that, it's quick.On top of all that, it’s a really good value for the price. For something this easy to use and well-designed, it feels like money well spent.
